Title is a bit misleading as it could equally apply to adults and all hobbies.

Ds is sport mad and plays football, rugby and runs to a decent standard. Obviously, this has all stopped. He's (as am I) is really sad and I'm keeping him going by saying things like, well there might some track races in July/August, you can keep fit for the start of the football and rugby season in Sept etc etc.

I'm guessing the same applies to dancing, performing arts, cadets kids too.

However, there is part of me that worries that none of this will be allowed to start up again whilst we are expected to keep up social distancing measures. Until a vaccine is found, in other words.

So does this actually mean that kids won't be allowed to play sport for 18 months, have birthday parties? What about going to the cinema or having a boyfriend/girlfriend.

It's hurting my head (and my heart) just thinking about it.

I really hope not. Poor kids need something to look forward to.

I’m worried about this too as our income is based on sports, and 2 of our children are sports/dancing mad. I would hope they can go back some time this year, but not too optimistic about competitions etc. It’s so so sad for the kids, but at least they’re all in the same boat I guess.
