Need to go and pick up some supplies at pets at home tomorrow. Can I take dd with me? She hasn't been out of the house, apart from bike rides, for the whole lock down. Can I take her with me
??

Only if there is no other option

How old is she? Have you any other option?

why?

Yogawoogie Thu 16-Apr-20 21:48:59

Is it worth the risk?

Yes you can

Probably not. Stores are requesting, on the whole, that just one person enters. It would only be essential to take her with you if there was nobody else to mind her at home.

It's likely there will be a queue so, in the interests of common courtesy, you'd need to go in, get the items you need, pay for them and leave, so the next person can go in.

If you have no one to leave her with, however they are pretty strict on essential purchases only and def no animals on display

I was at Pets at Home today, there was a sign up saying on 2 per family were allowed. Nothing stating no children.

Retailers do prefer only one person in. The more people that enter, the higher the risk for retail staff.

If you need to then sure, if there’s another option then why would you, it wouldn’t be a necessary journey for her?

I went to pets at home yesterday and all the animals were still there on display - but you couldn’t buy them !

Don’t take her for a “fun” day out to the pet shop because you feel sorry for her being in lockdown. Only take her if there’s no alternative childcare (if she’s young enough to need childcare).

You can but why would you?

MoltonSilver Thu 16-Apr-20 23:48:34

You can but you shouldn't.

Please don't take her unless there is nowhere to leave her (in case she is not old enough). Bike rides is good enough OP.
