Really? Not exactly breaking news. Did anyone really think life would just go straight back to normal after lockdown? Restrictions in some form will be here for the foreseeable.

It has been pretty obvious life will be restricted until most people have received the vaccine.

When Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus took aim at the UK with its then misguided 'herd immunity' policy by saying "Do not let this fire burn" the future became very clear.

Did he also ",take aim" at Sweden, who are basically practising the original "herd immunity" plan that we changed for lockdown, too?

Sky/BBC have a very odd idea of 'breaking news' it's generally something we've been discussing for at least 12 hours.

If it's because of verification issues 'confirmed news' would be more appropriate. It just makes them look ridiculous.

This is the same Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus who was accused of covering up pandemics of cholera when he was health minister of Ethiopia?

Did he also ",take aim" at Sweden, who are basically practising the original "herd immunity" plan that we changed for lockdown, too?

No, presumably because it was British, and not Swedish, health officials who apparently ‘led’ a ‘smear campaign’ against him, regarding the above alleged cover ups in Ethiopia.

No wonder he got along with so well with the Chinese.

I don’t know why people think him, or the WHO, is beyond reproach.

The man has never even been trained as a medical doctor 🤷‍♀️

I dont trust them to manage contact tracing or testing.
They will lie and say they are doing both like they were doing before...
Any trust is gone.
But do they mean allowing peaks while awaiting a vax or really trying to keep numbers very low?
If so schools will need to remain shut
