I'm pretty sure my plan is ok but just want to see what the hive mind thinks.
Dc is a fourth year med student. They came home when uni packed up a month ago as it wasn't clear what they would need to do and seemed best to be at home. Subsequently they were asked to put their names forward for HCA training in the uni town/host hospital. As well as the obvious skills they have acquired, dc has worked as a personal carer for a home ventilated patient so is demonstrably useful.
They have now been called for induction week after next in the uni town. The uni knows that they are at home and raised no issue with travel.
They do not have a car so the choices are train, if train is running, with all the exposure that involves or I drive them. It's a long way but I can do it in a day with some stops. Am planning to take all food and hot drinks in car. Will not go in to dc's flat , just drop and run. Will take photograph proof of their student ID plus whatever paperwork they get sent for induction to evidence why I am travelling. Service stations for loo only. I have gloves and gel.
I am NHS as are most of the family. The force is strong etc etc 😁 this is what dc has been asked to do and it is a work related journey for them isn't it? Am I missing anything?
