I am NHS worker with confirmed covid. I know many fellow workers who also have confirmed covid. I didn't have a cough or temp. Neither has the majority of people I know. Symptoms range from achy, runny noses, sore throats, headaches, fatigue and overwhelmingly loss of smell and taste.

No wonder it has spread so much when the message of staying at home if you have a cough or temp misses so many people who may have it? And I am sure at the start of all this it was said that 'cold like' symptoms were not coronavirus.

Yep, completely agree. Our GPs are still working from the original advice that if you've got a runny/blocked nose it probably isn't Covid19. I'm sure many have it without the cough, at least not at the start. Fever is part of the immune response and everyone is different so makes sense not all get the high fever. I think my sister has it, works with cases and had a night of cold sweats, woke up with pounding headache and sore throat. No high fever or cough so still has to go to work...

However, the government does want most of us to get it, so I can understand them not telling us to isolate with milder symptoms. We are already locking down and isolating a lot more than they expected which is messing with their predictions and costing them billions.

The Kings College Covid Symptom Tracker is showing that fatigue is the most common symptom, followed by cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste/smell and lastly fever.

Totally but just cos one person has mild symptoms doesnt mean the ones they transmit the infection too will.
I did get that tracker after noting that everyone I know has different symptoms! It's interesting that its varies so widely

I had extreme fatigue, debilitating headache that made me see stars when I coughed (also when I coughed I would wet myself which had never happened before), ached everywhere similar to how I felt when I had a car accident several years ago, temperature. My sense of taste and smell havent returned, this was late february.

I was admitted to hospital, because I was struggling to breathe. They insisted it couldnt be corona as I hadnt been to any of the (then) infected countries or contact with someone who had. However, I did point out I had been in meetings with alot of people (50-60) a week before. It had been half term just before so lots of people had been away and I didnt know where all of them had been.

I am not sure wether I had it. But as more of the typical symptoms come to light, i have started to thinking could be. Dd had it first, but mild. Tired and achy and a cough. Ds also had the same, but his cough was worse and had to see the ooh doctor.
