I know I’m being a bit silly or maybe not I don’t know
I was out for a walk, about 10 minutes from my house, I was walking towards an amazon delivery driver I went to step in the road but a car was coming he was probably about 2.5 meters away when he did like a sneeze/cough thing and didn’t cover it, I must have walked right through it
Now I’m worried, am I being silly? I live in the southwest so cases are low but I can’t stop thinking about it
:(

Thought he was handing you a parcel and gobbed in your face.

You're fine and he's probably got hay fever.

Thank you, I can’t stop thinking about it

Don’t forget it’s hay fever season, not every sneeze will be someone who has the virus

Sneezing Isn’t symptom anyway

Mummiepig · 11/04/2020 18:21

but a hay fever sneeze could spread Coronavirus if he was incubating it

Sneezing isnt a symptom if coronavirus anyway.

If he has passed it on to you, it's done now so no point worrying really. But I would say it's very unlikely.

Yes it’s done now, why can’t people cover their sneezes, a woman coughed near me in Asda last week and didn’t try to cover it

I know how you feel. Every time I go out I get paranoid. Like today I did a Click & Collect and the girl just stood behind the trolley as I was getting the bags out to put in the boot. Now I'm thinking, there were moments I was less than 2 m away from her, I've definitely caught it...

Its hayfever season and down here in the southwest pollen has been high. Both my daughter and i suffer with hayfever and its a bitch.

If you have seen him sneezing 2.5 meters away, why did you walk through it? You could have totally avoided it, or covered your own mouth and nose and stop breathing in the air while you walk past him.

I couldn’t step in the road or cross over because cars were coming and he kept walking toward me, didn’t really have time to react

2.5 meters is only about 3 steps away

Could have stopped, covered your nose and mouth, backed away. Basically, no point on dwelling on it. If you worry so much, think about what to do before going out next time.

Sneezing isn't a symptom of coronavirus. Probably hay fever. You're fine

Mummiepig, hopefully you will be OK this time but take this as a lesson and turn around next time. People are idiots aren't they

Mummiepig · 11/04/2020 22:24

I’ll definitely be more wary of people around me, it just happened so quickly

If he was stationary when he sneezed, why did you keep walking? And if he was walking when he sneezed, he walked into his own sneeze.
