What part of "Don't Bring a car full of Grandchildren to visit and get their eggs" are people not getting!!

Just watched one of my neighbours adult children rock up in a large car. Bundled the kids out and troop into their elderly parents house! They then came out 40 minutes later clutching several easter eggs each!!

What the holy crap!!

But they are ‘the special people’

Ah they must be following the same advice as the people who live at the back of us who have had about 15 family members over today. So far they have had an Easter egg hunt, played in paddling pool and hot tub and now they are light the BBQ. They show no signs of going any time soon and normally there are only 3 people living at the house.

How lucky the briefings that their are getting their advice from allows them to spend a lovely bank holiday weekend with their families. Hmm

These are the special people that act like cunts but dont have the balls.ro approach NHS workers and say Fuck You to their face. They prefer the underhand method instead.

I hope these neighbours are not standing on their doorstep on a Thursday and clapping the NHS

I cannot be certain but I'm quite confident ours do. I will have to ask the people who live next door to them over the fence when I'm next in the garden. The twats have now also put loud music on. I'm so pleased they are having such a lovely weekend. Angry

I have to wonder whether people are actually receiving the rules if this is how they are behaving. I mean if you know it's lockdown but you don't watch briefings or read the news, perhaps you think it's OK to see your parents? Maybe the govt. should have sent another round of text messages just saying "do not visit anyone at easter, stay in your own home with no visitors"

Yes, they’re special. Like my neighbours who had a BBQ last night.

If our area is anything to go by, these are exactly the people who stand clapping like seals on a Thursday night 🙄

Well I ordered socks or pants according to choice for male dgc and bracelets for girls. They all seem happy as I did it online.

@rjebgf we got our letter from Boris a couple of days ago so presumably they did too.

Surely you'd have to live under a rock to have no idea what is happening or at least in inkling what the rules are, so i have to assume they are wilfully ignoring them

I don’t know how people have the gall. They are either extremely thick and genuinely don’t realise they are going against guidelines or just incredibly thick skinned.

Well I suppose when we’ve all reached the end of our tether With lockdown in 3 weeks time when the death rate goes up instead of down we know who to blame.

No I absoloutly refuse to believe it is because the message is not being heard. There is no way all these idiots have not read the news, watched the briefings, seen the papers, heard it from a friend. Unless you live under a rock in a field 50 miles away from any other human with no way of communicating then the reason you're not following the rules is because you think they dont apply to you. Not because you don't know about them.

Our neighbours have had several 4 generation get togethers over the past 3 weeks . I was reluctant to report as we are having an on- going problem with them parking across our drive however today the police arrived a couple of hours ago as another neighbour had reported . Eventually most of them left but I am pretty sure they will be back tomorrow.

Report
PleaseStopCrying · 11/04/2020 17:03

Report them then?

I tried but our area is so full of idiots doing the same that they couldn't garuntee someone would be able to come out to disperse them.

Our neighbour had another neighbour in their back garden yesterday and today my SIL went round to MILs house for a drink in the garden Hmm Apparently, it was ok because she took her own chair and drink round. We were passing on our way back from the shops/exercise and MIL said we could come in too then got the hump when I said we didn’t want to do that... There’s no end to this stupidity.

YANBU. My 6 year old son has eggs waiting at my parents and DH's sister's house. They will be kept there until it is safe for them to be collected or they can deliver when out on an essential trip.

I honestly don't understand how people can go and visit people in these times. Again today, 917 deaths Sad How do people either not get the severity of the situation and/or think they are somehow immuneConfused

Every household had a letter in the post setting out what to do and why. I really can't see how they don't know. Also apart from the updates it's all over social media and there are adverts on TV regularly. It would be pretty odd if no one from the extended family knew about it.

But what's the point of posting about it on Mumsnet? Presumably you know how to report them if you're going to so don't need advice on that? These threads are pointless.

Report
twinnywinny14 · 11/04/2020 18:20

@Nonnymum not everyone has received their letter, we haven’t yet, however there is still no way people don’t know the message. The either don’t understand it or couldn’t care less

DC said there was a huge pile of BOGOF Easter eggs in supermarket today. They don't trust DH to have sorted the chock eggs so each bought selves one. I assumed that many extra eggs are on supermarket shelves, massively undersold this year.

I sent DC in to buy brocoli & sprouts which the supermarket was sold out of, apparently!

Blood has been boiling today! Neighbors seems to also think she’s to follow different advise.

I’ve seen her car away over night a few times recently when it never has been before. Not a spy just had to miss as it’s always parked at my window. But today she has went one further and now has her family staying over.

They are on the garden with the grandkids drinking wine, enjoying the sun and all the cars are parked up for the night.

Makes it even worse that she’s a self righteous/ thinks she’s above everyone else type of person.

I’ve not went out into my garden as I don’t think I could bite my lip!!!
