My neighbours are having a birthday party

It's been going on for hours with loud music in the garden and they've just had a jolly singing session of happy birthday and they are starting to spill out onto the street. My other neighbours next door but one
the other side appear to be having a hot tub party. Report or mind my own business apart from the fact that I feel like I'm actually at the party with my windows open Hmm

With guests from other households or not?

Report
shilohbear · 10/04/2020 22:00

It certainly sounds like they have guests.

I hear noise from my neighbours garden too. I've just had a peek through the window and next doors teenager has friends over. He also has his fire pit smouldering. Now they are slamming a football against my fence!

Report 100%, they could pass the virus amongst themselves and it spread tenfold. People are dying, please report!

Who would I report to? Would I just ring 999? I live on a council estate so I suspect that it is probably a group of neighbours tbh .

No you don’t ring 999! Find your local police website and report on there.

Report
HuntIdeas · 10/04/2020 22:14

Not 999 - it isn’t a life or death emergency! It’s 101 you want (I’m sure you can do it online)

Report
shilohbear · 10/04/2020 22:16

I just assumed that I would need to contact someone so they would come now and shut it down. There's no point logging it with 101 really is there when it won't be picked up unt tomorrow and there's no evidence they ever had a party?

You can report them online with the location etc. They should send someone out straight away

Report
Smarshian · 10/04/2020 22:18

People answer the phone when you call 101. They will decide on the severity. Do not call 999

ShakespearesSisters · 10/04/2020 22:20

There is a section on our local police force website to report social distancing breaches, same area as 101 on line reports

Report 101

Gwent police have had people ringing 999. Don't. They kindly ask that you contact them by twitter or Facebook. Maybe it's the same in your area.

I've just had a look out and they are all standing on the front garden. There's kids out as well, bloody hell.

And all singing YMCA at the tops of their voices. People have got kids in bed round here as well, they are taking the piss.

I’ve called 101. The noise and smoke is ridiculous. So is the amount of people in the garden, all sitting right next to each other. The Police will send someone out “shortly”.

RogueV · 10/04/2020 22:33

Instead of updating us why don’t you report them as other posters have suggested

A hot tub party? On a council estate? Those things are expensive

Where in the country are you? I guess it will just depend on how busy they are tonight and whether there are many crime scenes etc taking officers away from calls.

Bunnyfuller · 10/04/2020 22:36

Seriously?! This is getting old now.

We know the rules. If you see them being broken report via 101 or online police site. You have surely read the other 47,000 posts in the last few days?

Report
shilohbear · 10/04/2020 22:36

You would be suprised. Not everyone on a council estate is on benefits. There are some pretty nice cars round here too. They are not causing as much of a nuisance as the birthday party neighbours.
