Any Amazon Pantry users?

I ordered some non-perishables and long shelf life food on Amazon Pantry, with standard delivery, about a week ago; the delivery date given is tomorrow. I’ve not heard anything since, the payment is pending in my account, and all the items are now out of stock on the website.

Does this mean I won’t be getting my delivery? I haven’t used them before so wasn’t sure how the stock/supply works. It wasn’t urgent at the time but it will be if I don’t get anything, so will have to go to the supermarket on the bank holiday weekend.

Any regular users able to advise? Thanks

I've always received my order no problem, very reliable. I haven't tried recently but they use their own couriers and haven't had a problem before

Pantry orders are taking longer than usual but you should still get your items even if they are showing oos now, don't think I've ever had a missing item.

Can I ask where in the country you guys are? I'm a prolific amazon user, tried to make a pantry order but no deliver slots at all for the next couple of weeks. I've looked a dozen times over the last week but zero slots. Are you outside London/SE?

My order that I placed on Sunday says it will be delivered Easter Monday so yes they are taking longer in my experience

Same, very reliable. The stuff I ordered the last four times (over the last few weeks - I have been using this system to get food delivered to my elderly isolating, non-computer using Dad and his dog, who live several hours away from me) the items showed up as out of stock after I ordered them, I presume because it had all been allocated, not that it was actually gone from their warehouse and then the orders turned up on time (or twice earlier than they originally said) and complete.

Delivery driver, in gloves and a mask, left it all on the front door step, knocked on the door and then stepped back and waited for Dad to come to the door and acknowledge it and then the driver leaves. Dad then took the boxes inside himself wearing his gloves. Dad, who really isn’t keen on dealing with talking to people (he is partially deaf), so won’t ask neighbours to get his shopping for him (although I am sure they wouldn’t mind!) has been very happy with the system.

If you check your order on Amazon website they do update regularly and have been very accurate, so if they still say they are coming tomorrow I would assume it will all be here tomorrow and wouldn’t worry.

I have found that the deliveries often come earlier than the given date.

Ah thank you all, that sounds promising!

We’re in the SE and have never used it before; it was an odd selection of things available but lots of stuff we will need soon. I imagine more and more people will use it though so little chance of getting a delivery again maybe...

I almost forgot to re-visit this - but my delivery did arrive as expected, and all complete.

It’s a very good service, if you can find the right things!
