ONS Statistics updated to w/e 27/03 - more deaths than average

Still not in to the peak of deaths, but a talking point nonetheless.

I was just looking at this too, as with all the date about CV deaths in the news I wanted some perspective on what is a normal number of deaths in the UK.

So, for week ending 20th March 2020: The average number of deaths for the corresponding week over the previous five years was 10,573; this means that the overall number of deaths in week 12 of 2020 was slightly higher than previous years.

I forgot to put in deaths for the current year:

Week 12, 2020: 10645 deaths
Week 12, average across past five years: 10573 deaths

I found this reassuring, as the CV deaths numbers aren't as scary when in context of normal number of weekly deaths.
