Asda amend order and recurring slots

Hello,
Please can anyone who shops online grocery with ASDA help?
I’m new to Asda groceries.
I managed to get a slot and I booked it yesterday for next week Thursday 16th of April.
It gave me option to book recurring slot every week so I accept it.
Than I managed to find a slot for Friday 17th which would be better as always get delivery on Friday normally.
I cancelled the Thursday slot and booked the Friday’s. I though that the recurring slot would automatically move too but it did not.
I rang ASDA and they could not help at all, saying they can not change it on their end.
So I cancelled all of it and rebooked the Friday again hoping that it would give me the option for recurring slot again.
It won’t now as apparently that’s too far away ( 23th)
Also how do you ament an order pls?
I can’t find any option to add or remove more items..

I think in the current climate they are not doing reoccurring slots anyway. They are also so only allowing you to amend 2 days before your delivery date so you won't be able to amend until the Wednesday before (15th)?

I manage to find the recurring slots now, it does work.
In regards to the amending so I can not amend until the Thursday the 16 8 pm? ( delivery Fri morning)

That's interesting the reoccurring slots work.
When you go on the ASDA site the should be a yellow notification at the top of the page. I'll see if I can attach a picture. If you delivery is Friday you can amend from the Wednesday before

You can still amend the order any time before the night before, use the app not the website (had a weekly recurring asda slot for 2 years).

Hi, I've just received an order from Asda - including a delivery pass - and had hoped that would give me a recurring slot. But it seems I don't have a recurring slot on my account. Can anyone help explain to me how this works/should work, if I ever manage to get another Asda slot? Gill

I’ve got a recurring slot for a Saturday that I managed to get the other night but my parents delivery pass is Tuesday - Thursday so I want to try to change it to one of those days so I don’t have to pay for the Saturday slot too. I can’t find how to do it please can you tell me how? Did you cancel your previous order with the recurring slot on it first ? I’m scared to do that as I’m worried it won’t let me then put it to the Tuesday order? It’s for my elderly parents and I’m thinking should I just leave it and pay the extra £3.50 per week just so I’ve got it x

How did you get a recurring slot as a new customer? I've had one for years with Asda but when I signed my parents up as new customers it wasn't an option!

I cant amend my orders on the Asda website but the app is letting me amend any of the recurring slots listed.

You can amend orders only 2 days before they are due. So just put something in your basket to secure your slot them amend your order in the 2 days prior to your delivery kind regards

I managed to book a recurring slot last week, I've booked all the way up to the 1st of May, I have to spend £40 with my delivery pass so I just bung two bottles of whiskey in the trolley and check out to secure the booking and go in and amend two days before. I'm doing my mum and dads shopping as well so being able to get a recurring slot was an absolute godsend. I did it through the website rather than the app.

Hi, I bought the midweek delivery pass about 3 weeks ago and its still saying I havent got a recurring slot! Wondered if you knew if they have stopped it or not? I have had 3 deliveries so far 1 mid week 1 Mon & 1 Fri they arent charging me extra for different day. Do you or anyone know whats going on? Such a nuisance having to look all the time for slots.

Did you select a recurring slot when you placed an order? They dont assign you one. When you book a slot just before you check out it asks if you want this to be a recurring slot. If you dont do.it at that point it's just treated as a normal one off delivery

So, I am new to ordering Asda online too and have never really used it. My Nan and Grandad are both vulnerable and isolating due to COVID 19 and have had letters from the government. So I went onto Gov.uk website and typed in 'delivery slots' which came to 'get support as a vulnerable person' This then let me put their details in and a few days later I received an email that a priority pass had been issued for them which also let me book a recurring slot for them every week. Also this delivery pass was free of charge for 6 months! Still only let's you ammend your order within the 2 days before delivery though.

Did not see the option when I was checking out. Booked another slot last night & no option. On the website it specifies that it will come up when you click on the slot, I have a feeling they have turned it off due to the high demand! Will still look when I book the next one!

I have exactly the same problem. I have until midday to order my slot for 2 days time (Saturday) but it won’t let me amend my order? I only put milk and bread in the basket to save the slot. I have a recurring slot as I’m vulnerable.

Hi. I've had this problem too. Mistakenly cancelled order and lost this week's slot. I think that you can only amend in the 2 days before delivery so I'm hoping that the option to amend becomes available on the app up to 10pm day before? It's the only thing I can think of so ppl don't keep changing order and then they have stock issues? Maybe they're ordering in products depending on the online orders placed so far?

There are several things going on here.

  1. You have to do an initial order to confirm your slot. This is separate from 'amending'. You can use placeholders or whatever, but you need to have put the order through checkout by the time it states.

  2. Once you've done that, you then can't amend it until two days before your order is due.

  3. The recurring slot is only valid for the time slot you originally chose. If you cancel and try to change the time, there's no guarantee you will get that slot recurring. So if you're fortunate enough to get a recurring slot, I wouldn't meddle with it.

And yes you need to specifically go through the recurring slot process, it isn't automatic when you do an order. If you go into 'My Account', there's a section for Recurring Orders where you can see if you have one set up.

I had this problem with asda. I was within the 2 days but couldn’t amend my order on the website - downloaded the app and was able to amend easily, so perhaps try doing it that way.

Not sure if the app has had an update but it's no longer letting me amend my future orders. It was fine yesterday but the option has gone today
