So, @longshot what day for you and how are you feeling? I think I told you I’m pinning hopes on the day you’re better as I joined when you were at the peak. Xx

@user34254356 I have had a temp continuously for 24 days sadly. By that I mean it has been up for a few hours in every 24.

Reading everyone's updates. Glad some people are feeling better.

@TheDrsWife46 Day 26....up and down today after a good last few days. Today I have had quite a bit of pain in my upper back and chest tightness, not terrible but noticeable after a few days without it. Also achey limbs again. Having said that I feel a bit better this evening again so hopefully a blip. No fever, hardly any cough now.

I am definitely able to function mostly normally now but from time to time take a dip I think. I can't exercise yet other than a short walk I have done each day for a few days now (25 mins today). I am able to cook, tidy a bit, play with DCs etc, read and not sleep in the day but do take a rest every so often and lie on sofa. Also sleeping really well again now, 9 hours each night! That is nice! Vertigo feelings and nausea and headache all gone.

I wanted to ask - Breathing exercises. I have the ones which are 5 breaths in, hold and then lie on front. What has the Queen recommended? I don't want to watch her speech as will feel depressed as I have avoided all news...but can they be linked to from anyone? And @stayathomethegardener i think you posted a longer video earlier... I didn't have time to look then but would you recommend? I will scan back if so.

Urgh

Day 24/25. I feel a fraud posting here as I’m mostly better, but I’m still getting random rib/back pain, fatigue and general malaise. I just feel I should be recovered by now. I’m hating the chest wheeze and rattle too, makes me really paranoid.

Going to head to bed and hopefully I’ll have improved again tomorrow.

longshot · 05/04/2020 21:43

@thewoolisstrong I’m the same! Feel loads better but then intermittently quite bad again and panic it’s back and this time my lungs won’t cope. So weird.

I’m day 15, still breathless. I’m hoping to get tested by my trust this week, they are now testing staff.

Did you see that Boris has been admitted to hospital for investigations as his fever is still present ? I hope he’s ok and maybe will throw up some answers for some of us.

@TheDrsWife46
👋🏻 thank you for that 😊😊
I have to admit I keep going back to the bathroom to look at my test just as if it was a pregnancy test. Even thought it’s not government approved it has made me feel better knowing that I have had a genuine serious reason for feeling so rubbish. And an explanation for all the breathing issues. Thankfully it’s not just me falling apart.
I think I have a name for the constant heavy issue I have as well. Think I have been left with post viral labyrinthitis. I am feeling it now while lying in bed. It’s definitely positional.
@longshot
I am same, can walk but nowhere near exercising. Can’t even walk fast. But not needing to sleep during day! Sorry about the pain and tightness though! My back and neck has been quite stiff today, and then I have that annoying heaviness. Have barely coughed though - although spend every morning clearing my throat.
Am going to do the breathing exercises now before going to sleep!

Do any of your know how you caught the virus?

Report
Notcool1984 · 05/04/2020 21:54

Just wanted to join in again.
On day 11 if you include mild symptoms and day 7 of feeling vile.
Are people having to take deeper breaths? My main symptoms are lung pain, extreme fatigue and chills / tiredness. I’ve noticed my breathing more today (although peak flow is fine around 500), so not sure if I’m just worrying about that too much

Have any of you been working from home during this time? I've been on and off work for the past three weeks (mostly off), but get the feeling no one at work understands the relapse/up and down nature of this or expects it to last so long

I’m in abit of pain tonight and not sure if it’s my anxiety or chest?

We’ve had the virus in our house, week 4/5 here. Dh is better and I thought I was getting better. Not much chest pain since week 1, more of a bad cold/flu.

Tonight my chest is hurting in one side. It feels painful to breath in deeply or exhale deeply if that makes sense? And I’m coughing again which hurts 😩

I’m so fed up now, I want to feel better 😩

Hi everyone- checking in - on day 13 and feel like the virus has left the building so thought I would share to let people know that it might not be drawn out. I’ve still got some residual lung and chest pain and stuffy sinuses but I really feel like the storm has passed & feel almost normal again.

Sending love to everyone on here- you got me through the worst days xxx

@whattodo2019 I'm a teacher so suspect I caught it from students the week before schools closed as have been ill since that Sunday (22nd)

The only small glimmer of hope is that my elderly dad who lives with me is still showing no symptoms on day 15. I have isolated as much as possible in one room and dettoled anything outside it I touched, plus we've never been a touchy feely family so were never hugging etc even before I was ill. Even so, if he really has managed to avoid it, it will be a miracle.
Or perhaps despite all of his underlying conditions he still managed to be one of the asymptomatic crowd....

@findingschools4myboys Good news on the antibody test! I'm desperate to know for sure if this is/has been "it" ... but if it hasn't I'll be terrified to set foot outside as no way my body would be able to fight it off now...

I saw that video of Boris on Friday and his breathing was so like mine. Every 30-45 seconds or so he had to breathe in a gulp of air through his mouth. When he said he had only one symptom, a temperature, all I could think was that blatantly wasn't the case as his breathing was so clearly not right.

Taffyapple8 · 05/04/2020 22:16

I've just developed achy limbs and I'm on day 7. Does this mean things are likely to get worse. Had a very low day today. High temp has been persistent, headache and lightheaded every time I was going to the bathroom or moving about. Ended up ringing 111 who thinks it's dehydration. I'll be honest, I've not drunk or eaten much in almost a week. I'm so tired but I'm always too scared to sleep for the fear of waking up and feeling so much worse, which is in turn, no doubt adding to my symptoms. Also, has anyone had bad sinus pain throughout? Anyway, I hope tomorrow brings a better day for all you still suffering.

Hi everyone. Just wanted to update you all on my symptoms... so

day 18 and breathless has 90% gone. I am feeling much more human and even managed to clean my car today which im pleased about as before i was so exhausted I struggled with my motivation mentally and physically. Now I am wondering whether I even had corona at all as I didn't have a temperature throughout which most people seem to have with covid19, I only had on/off fever and sweating for one night.

I just don't know. Read on news that antibody test kits will be available to the public (at a hefty price! £200+) once the UK health authority have tested them to make sure they're legit as they come from... CHINA Confused

@Taffyapple8 I think Im okay to generalise but on day 6/7 I was at my most desperate and I noted that everyone else seemed to hit their peak intolerance and panic of it around day 7-9. When I was at your point I was petrified for day 10 and 14 days seemed forever away. Keep pushing on, you will start to get better and better moments in each day. X
