Does anyone else think they actually might have/had Coronavirus?

I’ve been ill for a week now and currently self-isolating along with the rest of my household. I don’t feel too bad now, just a tad lousy and able to work from home. My symptoms have been:-

• Achy all over
  
• Exhaustion & sleeping as much as possible
  
• Headaches
  
• Chesty / mucus cough that is getting worse but not so much that it’s really causing me a major concern
  
• Sore throat
  
• Snotty nose and feeling bunged up
  
• Woke up this morning with bloodshot and crusty eyes
  

It’s very strange and the more I read, the more I think I may actually have a mild case of Corona.

Oh and a temp of around 38.4 for the first day or two.

Complete loss.of sense of smell

But I was two weeks too early for coronavirus, so there must be other identical viruses going around

My DC have both had a nasty cough for a couple of weeks so presumed I’d just picked up whatever they’d had but they didn’t have any other symptoms.

Yes we are currently self isolating. I feel like crap and have done since Thursday/ Friday. I started with diarrhoea and a sore throat then a dry cough/ temp and am currently breathless. I am worried aboit my kids who are also showing symptoms

We won't know until the antibodies tests. I've had some horrible fluey/chest infection thing. But it could just be one of the normal bugs doing the rounds.

Its not unusual every year for ppl to get flu and cold. But it seems too many ppl are associating cold symptoms with corona... Others have no idea what the difference is between a flu and a cold... Yet very brave at diagnosing themselves.

Ive never had flu in my life and rarely get a cold.

What i had wasn't flu. It was a nonstop cough that made me sick and i couldn't sleep. I was burning up. Three days later i was fine.

I may have had it just before Christmas. I felt really unwell, had a nasty cough and a temperature. I felt absolutely terrible, but due to my job I kept going.
I even went back straight after the Christmas break because I felt I should.
I regret that now, because I'm wondering if it was coronavirus. Who knows?

No, I had the sore throat thing and tiredness but think it was just a cold bug.

I also find it hugely interesting that all the people being tested are the ones being hospitalised and thousands upon thousands of them, have tested negative. Nearly all of them. Positive is a tiny percentage of those tested,

If the rate is one death per thousand who have it, then less than five hundred thousand have it in the uk, which is from a population of sixty six million. So a tiny percentage.

The issue is everyone with any symptoms thinks they have it.

Boyfriend and I also wonder if we’ve had it, but that’s largely because we think we caught it in Thailand in early January from friends we stayed with there who had travelled widely through China in December: they had coughs, fever and breathing problems bad enough that they went to hospital, and we had similar albeit less severe symptoms shortly after we returned to the UK. Still can’t be sure though. But the timeline would fit, especially as we now know that the first case was highlighted in Wuhan in mid-November which makes it far more likely it had spread outside of the region far before the canon 31st December date; and China being politically what it is I’m terribly sceptical hah they’ve been totally transparent about everything.

A couple of weeks ago I felt dreadful for a couple of days - achy, exhausted, sore throat and runny nose. No temperature though. At the time I didn’t think it could be coronavirus because I didn’t have the fever or dry cough. The thing that now makes me wonder is that my sense of taste was affected for several days, which it now appears is a coronavirus symptom. I didn’t lose it altogether, but food definitely didn’t taste as strongly as normal.

Hope I have had it to be honest.

My DB. He had a cough keeping him up at night (and through day obviously) for the best part of 2 months around November time. Alongside generally feeling crap.

In a way it would ease my mind a bit as me and DCs were around him quite a bit during that time and all had just general colds/coughs especially at night and my 2 year old was up with a cough for around 2 weeks but fingers crossed without any huge issues.

Might be wrong though.

I had fever, dry cough, shortness of breath, hellish headache, achy muscles, sore tight chest and pain around lower ribcage (sort of like a band of it below bra strap level). No cold-type symptoms like snotty/runny nose. Lasted about 10 days. No way to tell if it was COVID-19 or not of course, but if not then there's some other unpleasant respiratory fever thing doing the rounds.

I'm sure many people are diagnosing themselves with COVID-19 when they have some more mundane virus, but probably the other way round is true as well - lots of people with COVID-19 will have been spreading it around to others because they only had mild symptoms and were still out and about.

I had an splitting headache and a temperature in mid-Feb, completely floored me, could barely do anything for 5 days (but had to, kids...). Then 2 weeks after I got a really tight chest, like my bra was on too tight. I had to have double inhalers for a week. That was awful, if it was a cold, it was a weird one. It's been through my family, dd had a temp and a cough, ds had headaches and achy limbs, dp had headaches, a cold and dry cough.

My son was so poorly at the end of Jan. Never been so worried. I'm certain he had it

None of us had it. If we had, the death rate would have been as high as it is now

DD came back from London where she was visiting her girlfriend at the very end of January. A week later, within hours of each other pretty much, we all very suddenly (and I mean suddenly, like a wave hitting) came down with similar symptoms: fever, weird sore throat on the left side only, tight heavy painful chests, dry cough and earache. We all said it was like a cold/chest infection without snot. Me and DD recovered fairly quickly, although we've had a lingering tiredness and are still coughing occasionally. DH however was pretty poorly. His temp was really high for days and he developed terrible shortness of breath and what he thought was a chest infection - he even went to the GP which is so unlike him. This was before the advice was to not do so. GP did ask if he'd recently travelled from China though. He prescribed antibiotics for a chest infection which did not work - it took three weeks for there to be an improvement and he's still not 100%. Still dry coughing and chesty. He also completely lost his sense of taste/smell for about 10 days which I've seen is now considered a symptom.

Given the timeframe it looks like we did have it doesn't it? DD's gf had exactly the same symptoms at the same time, incidentally.

Can't wait for the antibody test to be available. If we knew we'd had it we could get out and help in some way.

Oh and we all agreed that it was like no cold or flu we'd ever had before. And I forgot to mention the strange achy legs - right across the shins and painful to stand up.

My daughter is poorly with swollen glands, aches, and a temperature that isn't high enough to qualify. I'm putting the thermometer under her tongue. She isn't coughing much. Her brother has had a persistent cough since before we had even heard the phrase Covid19 (in normal times I would have had him to the drs by now!)
Could DD have CV? There aren't any reported cases at her primary, but if the other kids were also mild cases, no one would know!

I had a very sudden onset on a Tuesday. I went from fine in the morning to exhausted & could barely get up in the evening.

Couldn't get up the next day, DH on shift so took DC to school then I had to call him home from work to pick them up as I just couldn't move. Coughing kept me awake for about 3 days/nights. No phlem or mucus which is unusual for me. Once the coughing eased I slept & slept & was finally able to get showered! Then back to the school run after the weekend.

This was early February, before I was really aware of coronavirus. Just before this DH had similar but not as bad. I have asthma so wonder if it hit me harder.

I said at the time that it was no normal cold/virus. I'm hoping they'll be a test that shows if we've had it.

My mum has a textbook case. Came down with it last Thursday. She's doing fine but still coughing, so will isolate for a few extra days.

If I'd had what I had in Feb now, I'd be convinced it was cv. But it couldn't have been, so that means there is something really similar and less deadly doing the rounds.
