How long do you think you would last if everything went on lock down with the Coronavirus??
So like total worst case scenario of everything shuts and we all had to stay inside!!
All Businesses, schools closed...EVERYTHING!!
I know it’s quite far fetched but I think about that kind of stuff all the time!
I reckon we could last about a month possibly 6weeks before I started to REALLY panic!!
I have stocked up on a lot of non perishables (but I generally have a fully stocked larder!)
I have stocked up on medicines etc
And today I withdrew approx 700 cash (just Incase!!)

What have you done?how long do you think you would last!?

Would we have utilities - I don’t think we would last long without gas, electric and water.

Longer than my 5 x dc would if we were all stuck in the house.....

@Rhayader I’m gonna say yes to the utilities...that’s possibly a WHOLE other level!! But we do have a gas (bottled) hob and a lovely burner so I wouldn’t be TOO worried that way either now that I really think about it!!

I would need to walk the dogs. I think if we knew it was coming we might last one week. We have a tiny fridge freezer and no cupboard space.

Where are you spending your money if all shops and businesses are shut? Smile

About 3 days of food and electricity (on a meter). Our home is small so lack of storage space means I only ever buy for a few days.

How would that work? I’m a nurse I have to go to work. Can’t exactly shut the hospitals down.

People are going too far with this.

@DontBe 🤔 As I said...it’s farfetched Hmm but I’ll let the hospitals stay open in this far fetched scenario and we’ll have the army bring you to and from of course!! See...farfetched!!

I'm quite fat so I reckon I could last 3 months before I'd have to cave and eat the rest of the family.

I think we would comfortably get through 2 months. I have two freezers and racks of tinned food, jars and sealed dried goods in the garage, which obviously helps. The cat would run out of food before we do I think, but she would go out hunting if she was hungry enough.

We’d probably survive a month in that case but it would be pretty tough. Both of us working from home and trying to convince our DC to do some school work!

@DrMadelineMaxwell it’s to buy stuff from the MAJOR preppers who will form an underground/black market as such 🤣🤔

I think realistically with some clever planning our food could last for about three weeks, maybe longer.

But if we had no power then it’d be pretty miserable. We don’t have a fireplace so don’t know how we’d cook or boil water or anything.

I think about this a lot as well - it’s what sends me to sleep at night Wink

Probably only a week or two, my ds has a medical condition which requires a lot of medicine, equipment etc which I order as I need so don’t have a huge stock pile of all that.

I reckon we could last a good few weeks as long we had electricity and water.
We have a well stocked larder and freezer and wine cellar
Fresh milk would be problematic, I might get some UHT in or there are some cows in the field next door.
No kids at home so I would be quite content with books and Netflix.

Actually now that I’ve thought about water would come on a certain times...like in the morning for an hour on a Tuesday and a Thursday. And Electricity would be unreliable!! Ok...NOW how would you all fair up??!! 🤣🤣

2 weeks ish. Maybe more, but we have 4DC. We have camping equipment and live close to forest as well so could manage to cook.

About 3 days at the minute.

A few days then I’d take loads of coke, gin and go out with a bang. Don’t particularly want to be the last one standing in an apocalypse

Until the toilet paper runs out, maybe a couple of weeks. God knows what we would do then.
I think I'll go and stock up tomorrow just in case.

About half a day, my autistic son would be screaming blue murder, biting himself and hitting his head on the floor. (He has to go out every day), if WiFi went down then it would be about 2 minutes!
