Hmmm...sounds like you are mid cycle and therefore probably in your fertile period. Coming off the pill isn't proved to make your more or less fertile so that's a bit of a red herring. I think you'll just have to wait a couple of weeks and test.
Bear in mind tho that even a fertile couple would only have a 20% chance of conceiving each month.

Morning after pill? (if you don't want to be pregnant - I'm guessing from you saying that 20% is reassuring)

Thanks Trillian, we have talked about that but unsure if I feel able to take it. I've only taken it once before and that was at 15 and forced to by my mother so its a bit of a sore subject.

If you don't want to be pg, take the MAP.

Every woman's cycle is unique. We don't know when you ovulate. If you had unprotected sex, you could be pg.

Hi PC,

I don't really feel 100% comftable taking the MAP, we have talked about it several times today and we feel the chances are minimal, and as my husband said, if it is meant to be then it is meant to be.

I was just hoping for some experiences and wondering how likely it is to get caught so quickly after the pill.

The pill is no bar to conception. I stopped taking it after 9 years and ovulated 12 days after taking the last one.

As I said, you had unprotected sex, you could be pg. If that's something you can deal with then the MAP isn't necessary.

It'll just be a long wait for your period to turn up. Or not. You can have a coil fitted I think and that will prevent a pregnancy developing but I suspect that's a big measure for a small risk?

I do hope it turns out the way you want.

Hi. Be careful. My sister in law came off pill and a couple of weeks later she conceived without realising. She is now 28 weeks gone.
I've been tryign to get pregnant for a very long time. It does seem you may be in danger of being in your fertile period so if you're not wanting to have a baby you may need to consider the morning after pill. they work upto 72 hours after unportected sex.See your local pharmacist as it may take too long to get to a GP if you have one.

Hope this turns out how you wish/prefer. Good wishes.

Oh crumbs, really?

When I have tried for a baby after the pill, its always taken 3 months or so for my period to ome after the first so I assumed I wasn't in much danger!

Hiya,

quick update, period has arrived.

So I was pretty lucky as had sex just before ovulating.
