Hello

I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or can advise? I have been TTC since June 09, had a miscarriage in Nov 09 and since then have had a regular cycle of around 28 days. I am now on day 34 and just done a pregnancy test, it's negative and I'm wondering what could be going on? Obviously I am hoping it might mean I am pregnant as I have never had such a long cycle but the pregnancy tests are telling me otherwise!

Does anyone have any helpful advice?

Thanks
xxx

Someone told me once that you can have a false negative but not a false positive (couldnt say how true that is to be honest though?!)
I have no idea what TTC is im afraid but I hope this all works out well for you. Relax and maybe book an appointment with your doctor?? - when I was first time around pregnant and unsure (denial/shock) went to my GP and he gave me a test to check, which was also free well the ones you buy are so expensive!! Good luck

The same thing happened to me last week- I was a week late (and I'm usually very regular), but kept getting negative tests. AF arrived yesterday and I think it was due to stress. I made an appointment with the doctor (and cancelled it when AF arrived)- much better to set your mind at rest either way I think. Good luck

i am in the very same position. AF was due day 30, now day 33! lots and lots of BFN's. usually I am pretty much 30days but i remember when i was ttc ds cycles were between 30-34.

I am just sitting here waiting on AF so i can plan the next episode of SWI!!

Hi, just to say that I had to wait for cycle day 51 until I eventually got a BFP, and I am normally regular as clockwork! Some women take a while to build up enough HcG, so theres always a chance!

Hi,

i am in a similar position. I usually have no more than a 30 day cycle and am currently on CD34 with none of the other 'pre-menstrual' symptoms that I usually get in the days running up to AF.

I have felt unusually tired and am experiencing frequent urination so i did 2 clear blue tests on CD 31 and CD32, first thing in the morning and both came up negative.

I would be inclined to just put it down to one of life's irregularities, however, as i am TTC i know for sure that i ovulated on CD17 as i was monitoring with ovulation tests as well as charting my BBT. . . . . . I was led to believe that you always come on 14-16 days after your ovulation date if you aren't pregnant, so given that i know i ovulated on CD17, I would have expected to come on by now.

Can anyone tell me whether it is possible for AF to come more than 16 days past ovulation??

Are you still temping now? I read that if you have 18 days of continually raised temps after ovulation then it's a REALLY good sign you're pregnant... I really hope so! Good luck!

Hi Dottyme, I see you posted this question over a year ago but I just wondered what the outcome for you was as I am in exactly the same position as you now and wondering what is happening. Now on day 34 and still negative pregnancy test. Assume I will go to the doctors next week if still nothing happening but just interested to find out what happened with you.
Thanks!
