Just realised I posted this under pregnancy but it may not be much use there!:

I am 40 and did worry about being able to conceive again after I took nearly 2 years to conceive our only daughter. However, I have conceived TWICE IN THREE MONTHS (lost a baby in Nov 09) and the only thing I've done differently is listening to Zita West's CD. Honestly.

I swear I don't get paid commission for saying this. In fact I wrote to the Zita West clinic with my happy news 3 months ago and was a bit dissappointed when they didn't even acknowledge my email. But who cares?? I'm pregnant again and that is amazing.

Love and luck to everyone!

What is Zita West's CD and how does it help?

Sorry,

it's relaxation cd you listen to every day before going to sleep. Tells your brain to tell your glands produce the optimal amount of hormones for conception etc...
There's one version of it for people who are having IVF, and even tho I conceived naturally I did listen to that track after my ovulation cause it assists implantation..

It also suggests focussing your energy on the acupuncture points that an acupuncturist would use to help conception.

Anyway, I am just so pleased with the result.

PixieOnaLeaf, what do you mean by reporting this?

Ah, PixieOnaLeaf, just occurred to me you probably think this is publicity?

I can assure you it's not. It just would be sad to think something can help and keep it to myself. That's all!!!

Maybe I should not have mentioned the midwife's name? Shall be more careful next time, just got too excited.

Good luck to everyone again.

thanks for the advice, if it helps one person then its worth it. When you get older all you get is doom about how long it takes to concieve.

Not sure how this helps as if you have concieved twice in three months as it also means you miscarried one!

As you approach your 40's it is possible to concieve, but there is a higher rate of miscarriage too. So without meaning to sound a bit down on you, I think promoting the cd here is not that helpful.

I am nearly 42 and concieved 6 times in the last 14 months, but miscarried 5 times. I have not listened to the cd and do not recommend anything. My other children were concieved easily too, but I did not start having miscarriages until I was in my 40's.

I hope that your current pregnancy is successful and that you will be cuddling your baby in October.

Hi everyone

Rainbowdays, am really sorry to read you have gone through so many miscarriages. Also sounds like you are pregnant now so I send you all my best wishes for a successful and happy pregnancy.

I am not trying to promote anything, but rather trying to help, though some of you seem to find that hard to believe.

The difference with me is it took me nearly 2 years to conceive my first child, so, being 3 years older this time I have been very pleasantly surprised to conceive so easily / often. Think that's why I thought the cd might be helping and decided I would share my excitement with all mumsnetters.

Allow me to reiterate my best wishes to you and everyone else that has embarked in this adventure of trying to have a child.

letsdoit I just wanted to say that I don't think you're trying to flog anything at all. I think you just wanted to share a tip. I bought that cd at the fertility show in November. Listened to it a few times and got a BFP in december - probably a coincidence

I've just had a MMC but as soon as i am feeling better I am going to start listening to it again. If nothing else it focuses me on what I'm trying to achieve, gives me a chance to think about why we want another little one and might just work!!

Good luck with your pregnancy.
