Anyone who knows Popadopalis read this!!

Hey everyone. Sorry I haven't been around for a while. I wasn't really feeling very good about TTC and kind of gave up for a bit.

Anyway, as you know the doc told me I didn't ovulate and referred me to the hospital to see the fertility people. I went to the first appointment and felt like such a failure sitting in a room full of pregnant women. What I didn't realise at the time was that I was actually pregnant!!

About a week after that appt I felt really sick and exhausted and Dh and his mother were telling me to do a test. Well I thought I had a virus because I didn't ovulate so couldn't possibly be pregnant! Anyway after much persuasion I did a test last MOnday morning and got a BFP.

I didn't really believe it so I did three more and they were all strong positives. I am feeling really sick constantly and the doc has signed me off work for the week but I am over the moon and will hopefully have a February baby.

I guess nothing can interfere with God's plan.

I'm only about eight weeks and due on feb 8th. I feel really sick and wishing this stage was over but very excited. Feb seems so far away though!

Actually I saw Twiga a couple of weeks ago. She visited for Dh 30th brithday and I was luggin her suitcase about for her as she was pregnant and I couldn't let a pregnant woman carry a heavy case!! I laugh now!!

Im so pleased for you really i am. Hopefuly ill be joining you soon. Ive had my first af since the mc and due to test on Wenesday si getting nervous now. How come you havnt been on for a while??? Mind you im not really on the ttcing threads anymore

I just knid of got depressed and fed up for a while and everything in my life was about pregnancy. I work with pregnant girls, my best friend (Twiga) is pregnant and then I'd come home and be on mumsnet and Dh and I would be trying so I decided to give myself a break for a while.

I hope it's good news for you when you test. Lots of babydust for you.

Hey Pops, glad to see you've broken the long silence! LOL at you carrying my case - you did so well ! Now remember yo may be due on the 8th but you've got to hang on until the 14th so bubs can share a birthday with me ! Hope you're feeling a bit brighter than you did this morning - good on your doc for signing you off - plenty of rest/pampering and that's an order - don't make me come down there and sort you out !

YEAH, what great news pop. I do remember you from TTC threads, how long had you been trying?
sprinkle some dust my way will you! I know what you mean about avoiding the TTC threads though - after 12 months of TTC they just made me feel worse as names came and went and I was still there. Great news for you

Feel awkward about poaching this thread...So I will keep it short and sweet: Still not pg and DH is working in New York so it is challenging to fly him home for 'the right time' iykwim. Just to let you know, Popadopolis has been admitted to hospital following a couple of days really bad morning sickness. She and the baby are both fine - good heartbeat on the scan - but she is dehydrated so they've got her on a drip and keeping her in for tonight at least. Pops and her dh are both Christian's and would really appreciate your prayers at this time. Thanks, Twiga x x x

Just a quick up-date, Pops got out of hospital this morning and is resting at home. Has managed to keep some food down over the last couple of days, and is feeling a bit brighter all in all, no doubt she'll be on at some point to say hi!

Hey!! It's me alive and kicking!! We are all well, thanks for your prayers and best wishes. IT was nice to know people were thinking about us in that horrible place!! I hate hospitals.

Maddyd - You'll be pleased to know that I didn't drool once in hospital so kept my shameful secret from the nurses and patients!!!
