So period comes today - v annoyed but at least that means I can book my hsg which has to be on day 7-10 of cycle. Fine - I can take next Fri off and do it then. Call uch to make the appt - they say they only do hsg on Mon-Wed. This means I can only have it done on day 5 or day 12 - neither okay and because even if they said okay they would do it on day 12 you have to not have sex for 4 days and I would miss this month's fertile period. Am so fucked off - what am I supposed to do?

thank you lucybrad - after my husband called and managed to stop me crying we realised I could have it done on Wed so have booked it for then. Now I'm just scared of having it but at least then it'll be done, and the four days of no sex afterwards will just take me to day 11 which means w still have a chance next month.
phew.

This happened to me a few years back now. Appointments were booked on a first come first served basis. A swift decision and I booked a private one for about 100 quid. If you can stretch to that it is worth it because it might happen next month too and again and again.

You will be fine. It doesn't take long. There is a bit of discomfort just like a period pain for a couple of minutes while they enter the cervix and thats it. Job done. Good luck.
