Is it possible to get a false negative when AF is 2 weeks late??

Just that really - asking for my sister who has always been regular as clockwork, 28 days, came off the pill in Jan but only been having unprotected sex since last month. This month she is 2 weeks overdue, but has done 2 tests (last week) and both came up negative. What is going on?!?

It's possible to get a false negative whereas it's pretty much not to get a false positive. But at 2 weeks od I would expect to see a positive positive. I would suggest waiting 2 weeks and seeing - or if she can't wait, see if the docs will do a blood test.

Thanks for responding, I'm not sure she can wait another 2 weeks... but if it's not a pregnancy then what else could make you that late? Death throes of the pill, even after all these months?? Anyone else had this experience?
