OK so after 12 months of trying is it time to seek some help? Have regular cycles and positive OPKs, plus I think I conceived a couple of those cycles but had very early mcs (just based on symptoms and cycle lengths, I didn't test).

I have one ds and it took us 6 months or so to conceive him.

It just doesn't seem to be happening this time and I'm getting fed up and very jealous of pregnant friends which is not good.

Is it worth going to the docs or will they not be of much help in my situation - what do people think?

If you've been ttc for twelve months then you should go to the gp.

However

wouldn't just assume you've had miscarriages based on symptoms, when we ttc we all have the symptoms we desire if we desire them enough...

Yes go to GP.

We went after we'd been trying for a year and the GP did blood tests to check I'm ovulating and semen analysis on DH.

Now she's referred us to subfertility clinic at the hospital.

It's definitely worth going.

Oh great, DP will be thrilled with the prospect of that!

Thanks for advice, I guess it is time to go and see what they say.

WannaBE you are right of course about the symptoms, I'm as guilty as the next person of that! I'll never know now, although if it was all in my head then it is looking worse for the ttc as then I've not conceived at all in that time. Next time it happens I'm testing straight away so at least I know (I'm the opposite of those who test too early - I leave it as long as I can!).
