I am struggling to conceive no.2. I have noticed in recent months that my CM is probably at its most abundant on CD 9 - 13 but the thing is that when I get a positive on the ovulation stick the CM has just about dried up. Naturally we are BDing it loads when the sticks say I am ovulating but was just wondering whether we have missed the boat.
Could the sticks be wrong? Perhaps I should just abandon them and go with the CM indications..

Hi Thymus, don't have personal experience of using the ov sticks but my friend was using one of the fertility monitors and it read that she wasn't ovulating when she actually was! Now 5 mnths pg

I'd go with your CM as well as the sticks to be honest. I use the sticks but like you my body seems to be telling me a different story. I recon if we (DH and I - not you and I obviously he,he) bd every day / every other day from the end of AF to the beginning of the next AF we must hit the right window somewhere along the way (that's the theory anyway).
Good luck!

Hi Thymus. I'm on a different thread ttc DC#2 after an mc and having used ov sticks on and off now think they are rubbish. I can't say for sure but am almost certain from CM indications that I ov'd around CD 14 this month but sticks on days around it said nothing.

All the experts say to BD 2-3 times a week regardless and that gives you a much better chance. I also read somewhere that often by the time a stick picks up a surge it's too late so I'd abandon if I were you. I'm obsessed with TTC but I'm going to go without sticks for next month as it puts too much pressure on everything.

Good luck

thanks Chubbymummy - i know that's what we should be doing but its just too exhausting!

Stessyheady - I think i'm with you. I have been addicted to them for 14 months now and I think it would do me good to be a little more natural about the whole thing. So, [gulp]- I too will abandon the sticks next month. good luck to you too!
