how long does it last and when in the cycle am I likely to feel it, if at all? [I can't get my head around all this stuff].

I had some quick, sharp, niggly pains around the pubic area a couple of days before my period was due and am still getting them at least once a day, I'm only 4.5 weeks though.

I'm assuming it's implantation and a vaguely remember having it with the first two.

Mmm.. i had that yesterday. AF (may be) due in next few days...? Interesting. Although after 13 years of being on the pill, it's also entirely possible that these are AF symptoms I just didn't experience before! .

I have a seriously erratic cycle (at best) so it's all very hit and miss.

I didn't feel a thing! Sharp pains could be ovulation pains, particularly with an erratic cycle?

Well, DH is excited and optimistic.

I'm more cynical. It would be too easy if it just happened like that!

I'll let you know - if AF doesn't come by weekend I'll test on Sunday.

In my experience (4 pregnancies) implanatation feels like zingy little pains that start around pubic area and move down my inside legs. I had these every time. Ovulation pains are dull and stay in one place for me. Good luck OhBling.

Well, I'm increasingly certain it is AF as I'm starting to feel more "normal" AF twinges that I used to get even on the pill.

This is not in fact a bad thing as it would mean I have at least a vaguelly regular cycle which puts me far ahead of where I thought I'd be at this stage. It's nice to be in the position that AF is almost as good as a BFP.

BFN on Friday and AF FINALLY turned up today. 40 days. Am slightly concerned that the cycle is vrey very long, but am trying to remain optimistic.
