12 days late, 4 negative pregnancy tests, any advice

Ok, so in May DH & I decided to start trying no 3 this Autumn. No intention of starting early (want to lose some weight first) so carried on using contraception.

I am now 12 days late but having done 4 pregnancy tests, they are all negative. Cycles can be irregular but within 2/3 days variation normally.

I am puzzled & a bit concerned. Has anyone else had any experience of this?

Think I might make an appt with the GP although I'm not sure what they could do really.

Any advice?

Hi frogthistle, the same thing happened to me in January, I wasn't pregnant but AF did come along eventually albeit a little lighter than normal and then regular again ever since. GP did blood tests to check everything is normal and it was. Put it down to a bad case of Flu over Christmas delaying OV and therefore AF.

Have you been ill/on any medication? Stress can also be a factor esp as you will now be stressed about lack of AF.

Go and see your GP, you will prob find AF arrives as soon as you make the appt! Good luck

Thanks Teenycalls.

However, I bought a FirstResponse test just to check 'one last time' & got a positive, so I guess I answered my own question!

Not quite the right timing but hey, after 2 DDs & 4 MCs, I'll go with it!

Thanks for your response.
