How can I best support a friend through IVF?

A friend of mine has just told me she is going for IVF (TTC for a while now). She hasn't told many people except 2 other friends. I don't know her very well, all our husbands are really good friends and I am getting to know her. I have already asked her if she is OK talking about it and she's said she is... I don't know anything much about IVF though, but am reading up about it. I was thinking about getting her a Zita West book for example but is that too pushy? I don't want to say/do the wrong thing... Has anyone else been in this situation? Or having/had IVF - how do you think your friends could support you best? Hope that all makes sense :-\
Thanks

I would just be there for her; ask her "how are things going" and then let her tell you as much or little as she wants.

I've known 2 people who've had IVF; one has been happy to talk, the other kept it really quiet.
