I bought a cheap Tesco test on Sun. Day before AF due. Neg. AF two days late. This very unusual. Want to test again. Is it worth it? Is there a chance? What's the best test?

Hi "Reflection"

I would always buys ClearBlue Digital - the one that shows the words "not pregnant" or "pregnant". There is no faffing about under different lights trying to work out if there is a faint line or not. They are more expensive but if you are worried I would spend the extra on getting one.

Good luck!!

Another vote for Clearblue Digital. I was TTC for ages and kept using the cheap strips. When I finally thought I saw a faint line, DH didn't believe me/couldn't see it!

The CB Digital is nice and unambiguous. No guessing, no imagining lines, no squinting, etc.

Clearblue does a great value twin pack. I've always used theirs and found them v reliable.

Always used the cheap ones, always been reliable.

I tested with a dearer one once, it said negative, i wasn't so sure, did a cheap one straight after, positive result, nine months later baby appears.

It seems to be a personal preference but there is no need to spend loads if you don't want to.

There is definitely a chance but best to wait 3 days after a BFN to allow hormones to rise enough to be detected.

I would say go for ClearBlue Digital without a shadow of a doubt. You get a clear "pregnant" or "not pregnant" so there is no squinting to see lines that may or may not be there.

Best of luck.

I got lucky with a tescos own today- my ebay cheapies had had a very very very faint line- so decided to "splash out" on a Tesco one and got a BFP so I vote for them!
