Conception threads on the home page

I might just be having a grumpy old moo moment, but I'm not that chuffed about conception threads being in the 'lets see what we're talking about today'-type bit on the home page.

The thread that I post on has been spared so far, but this is where I come to talk to understanding ladies at a difficult time and we share some quite personal information about ttc.

I know that this is an open site and anyone who wishes can see my posts, but they have to want to come to Conception and have a reason for doing so, visiting out of sheer curiosity makes me a bit squeamish .

Will they be doing this with Miscarriage threads (where I also post ) or Bereavement?

Shout me down if I'm just being a hormonal old baggage about it .

Totally agree with you.

There was another site I glanced around recently where they ban people announcing they are pregnant on ttc threads.

Thanks for posting, so I know that it's not just me! I don't mind the pg announcements, I'm just a little worried that discussions about miscarriages, etc. will be flagged up for anyone looking to fill a few minutes.

Mind you, I think that I'm just grumpy generally this week .

I post a LOT in conception and miscarriage and just have to say that I really don't mind the threads being visible on the homepage. I have a username so that rl visitors don't necessarily know that its me. if i want to post something more delicate i change my name.

and am totally opposed to banning pg/birth announcements on the ttc boards. while ttc is a very delicate subject and should be handled carefully there does have to be a line .
