Crazy and confused!! Can brown discharge be a pg symptom?

Am really confused; AF is usually no longer than 25 days. Yesterday was CD25 - and NO AF although I have had pre-menstrual symptoms all weekend.
Did 3 pg tests yesterday all of which had a VERY faint line (you really had to squint to see it), although I might have been reading them too late; or maybe it was a mirage?? .
Then late last night I had brown discharge and a bit again this monting - but NOTHING since, except a few pre-menstrual symptms again.
Can ANYONE shed any light on this series of events?

faint lines.....brown bleeding.....premenstrual feelings.....

sounds like an implantation bleed to me and that you are indeed pregnant.

doesn't matter how faint the line, a line is a line is pregnant! Evaporation lines take over ten minutes to appear afaik.

Congratulations

try a first response test; they are very sensitive.

I had brown watery discharge the day AF was due - nearly stopped me testing because I got so depressed, but caved in that afternoon and got a BFP ! Boots own were utterly frustrating - such a faint line I wasn't sure it was there or not - go for a ClearBlue digi and good luck

Hey Gateau, you might hold the record for the shortest time on our ttc thread! Get yourself a digi test... no squinting at lines required!

Keeping fingers crossed for you!!!

Thanks Lacka. The first test I did yesterday morning was a FR one, and the line was VERY faint; almost not there, if you know what I mean.

I would have thought that if I was pg, the result would have been very obvious on a First Response test, patic as I was testing on the day my AF was due.
really confused

Thanks christiana, but I'm at work (I work p-t) so can;t really just leave to go to the doc's as it's an hour commute.

Will hold off from testing, yes, even though those two pg tests sitting are winking at me

I have had brown discharge on and off since the weekend (seems to have gone now) and got a BFP this morning. I also had menstrual symptoms but find with the AF pains if I changed position or sat down that they go.

With my second pregnancy I had a very light period. Perhaps it would be worth buying a digital test on the way home to put your mind at rest.

Gatau - I would definitely test again in the morning. Spotting around the time of your period can be a good sign as well as a bad one.

I look forward to seeing you on the October Antenatal thread soon!

Thanks Willmouse. I REALLY hope so.
But don't you think the line should have been VERY obvious if I tested on the day AF was due?

I am no expert - but not necessarily. There is a site called peeonastick (dot com I think) which rates all the tests and how accurate they are.

I did a cheapie wilkos one this morning and the line was quite strong (two days late). I think the pregnancy hormones really increase at a rapid rate in the early days so you may get a better line tomorrow.

Gateau... one thing just struck me. You said your cycles are normally 21-25 days and you're on cd 26. I don't know how these things work on slightly shorter cycles, but I've only ever got a really strong line on a test on cd 32 onwards. Perhaps your hormones haven't risen enough, even for the early tests?

Maybe HF; let's hope.
Can't help feeling I'm not pg, but am just wondering where my AF is??

I definitely didn't feel pg when I was pg in December. Sadly wasn't to be, but that wasn't to do with my lack of symptoms because they did kick in before I mc'd. Don't give up just yet.

If you got a line that is hardly ever wrong. I had faint lines for a good few days before a good strong one. It depends on when you implant and subsequently how strong the hormones are. Test again tomorrow. Good luck.
