Ok here goes. have PCOS after an op and clomid (first course) I conceived my DS who is now 11 months. We want another and are feeling time is running out. I still have a 5 month supply of clomid. Do I take it myself? Really tempted....

Of course you are - who wouldn't be? But who is going to monitor the child if you do it on your own?............

Please do not self prescribe but instead seek advice from the people who treated you originally beforehand. Your GP should refer you back to them. It may have been the combination of both the op and clomid which worked originally.

Clomid is certainly not suitable for all PCOS patients to take - it should be given to them with a degree of caution as clomid resistance can happen. You certainly should be monitored whilst on it as it is quite powerful stuff.
