Broody! Help me see sense!

DS is now 8 months and all I can think about at the moment is being pregnant again ! I must be absolutely mad. We live in a 1 bedroom flat (which we are trying to sell) and have no money. DH is desperate to have another so is no good in giving me a reality check. I still haven't had a period since having DS (am occasionally BF) and last night, I was so tempted to throw caution to the wind (IYSWIM ). Please help me see sense! I just loved being pregnant last time, but that is because I was child-free, relatively rich (compared to now!!!!) and had a very easy pregnancy. It could be awful next time around couldn't it? What should I do???????????? Wait and be sensible? Or just go with it and deal with the consequences when they happen? Help!!!!

Well HM it could be a really awful pukey pregnancy, or there could be complications.. you have to think it through and weigh it all up iykwim...I'm managing to manage a pukey early pregnancy and my DS at the moment...he was 11 months when I got pregnant again although I had been trying for a while ....if you really want it you'll manage! It might be hellish at first with two babies etc but you learn to cope ... just one thing though, I was breastfeeding and found it harder to concieve this time, even though my periods never stopped... so it may take you longer than you expect, then again it could happen right away!...Best of luck

With no money and a 1 bedroom flat, personally I would put it off until circumstances improved

Think I need some sense knocking into me too; my youngest is 3 months now and I have to admit to feeling broody again already. Hubby keeps joking about the "next one" but won't say definitively either way whether he seriously wants another or not. I couldn't put hand on heart and say def not any more so I'm not sure.....

I'm 25. I think I like the idea of being pregnant again, and haven't really thought through about actually having another baby at the end of it! I'm aware that it could take a while to get pregnant again, which is why I'm thinking we could be a bit silly and 'see what happens', but last time I got pregnant within seconds so am scared that would happen again too!

You say you only have a small 2 bed flat but I only have a large 5 bed house and still we're not sure whether we can fit in another!

I lived in a two bedroom flat with three children for 2 years and we al managed beautifully. We were all very close and now that we have moved to a four bedroom house my children still sleep in the same room (their choice). They do have a lot more room to play but they still prefer to be near dh and I.
My advice would be to base your decision on other factors more than the size of your home or your purse. The size of your heart is much more important in my books.

Wrong venue but CONGRATULATIONS fastasleep!
