Yeah i know im clutching at straws on this but i have history of it , negative results not straw clutching ! If my calculations are right i am between one and two weeks late and i did a test and its negative . With my first child i had a false negative early on and it wasnt until i was nearly 12 weeks that i got a positive . I know they are supposed to be 99% accurate though

I did, but according to scan dates I wasn't pregnant when I missed my first period,, it was when I missed my second but DS was born 10lb5oz (induced also) so I think there may be a possibility I was pregnant 1st time, if that makes any sense?

tengreenbottles
I was 2 weeks late and tested on a wednesday morning and it was a BFN so I gave up hope. I was still late by the sunday so again I tested and got a BFP I'm now 10 weeks pg and just had a scan showing my 'baby' is fine and healthy so there is hope!

yes, happened with my 2nd dc. I knew i was pg, but the tests didn't agree with me. can't remember exact dates/timings, and they changed her due date 3 times!

according to my calculations, she was 10 days late and a healthy 8lb at birth.

Me, my negative test is now 18 years old. He's the only one of my six I tested negative with.

Yes, at the doctor's.

I kept telling them I was because the Boots test had shown positive, but their test showed negative, so my ten-year old daughter is a figment of my imagination.

percent that's really interesting that you tested negative with only one of your 6 children. I have an 8 month old DD and when pregnant with her I did the test at about 3 days late (I think) and it was positive. Now I am 4 days late, did a test (a cheap Boots one) and it was negative. Weird. Anyway I am happy if I am pregnant and happy if I'm not. Let us know if you are pregant or not tengreenbottles!!

Happened with my first. I didn't get a positive result till nearly 12 weeks! Failed 9 tests!

Yep me too, negative test and actually had what I thought was a normal period, but a bit lighter, bleeding started the day after I took the test. Realised something was up about 3 weeks later. Am 38 weeks now..

Yes, with DD2 and DS. With DD2 I didn't get a positive till I was 3w late, and with DS I was 2w late when i finally got a BFP.

I wouldn't bother with the digitals btw, you'd be better off with a first response or similar.

I've missed two periods now, 3 negative results, done a week apart each time, 3 different brands, doctor said on Wednesday that based on my symptoms I'm 'probably pregnant' and to go back for blood tests in 4 weeks if I'm still getting negatives Hmm I feel your pain OP!

scented are you thinking you maybe 6 weeks if so leaving it another 4 weeks beforea blood test is then leaving it really fine to get a scan date I would ask for 1 earlier. Yep know a lady who tested neg kept telling Dr's she was pregnant ( had been a few times before) even cons said she wasn't initial scan missed baby found out at 36 or so weeks!!! oops

Bugsy- I did suggest the to the doctor, but she seems convinced I won't need a blood test anyway Hmm but feeling sick and rubbish for no proven reason is starting to drive me up the wall!

Really interested in this. Period 10 days late, three tests showed negative, but feeling sick and a bit grotty, same as when pregnant last time. And we had lots of sex around ovulation. hmmm. not sure what to do...

Yes. Dh nearly refused to buy me another test a week later as he thought I was just upsetting myself. I knew I was pregnant though and ds is now 7. Grin

I hope you get the result you want.

Three pregnancys three , well no about 30, negatives. Clear blue and first response, i thought that perhaps they make them unreliable so that you buyp more in the frantic 'please let me be pregnant' stage. They got a fortunÄ™ off me.

I Tested at 4 weeks and got a negative with dd. went on holiday, drank, went on extreme roller coasters, felt rubbish. Didn't occur to me to test again for another 4 weeks!

Both my mum and sister each had a pregnnacy where they never got a positive test. Mum was finally checked at 3 months (visual of cervix as they did then) and found to be pregnant, my sister finally got a scan at 4 months and despite continued negative test, there was the baby clear as day on the screen.

So it is possible to be pregnant and never have a positive test, however it is unusual. I hope all the lovely ladies here wondering "if" that you all find out soon, as not knowing is hard.

Finding this chat v interesting, I'm 8 wks late and 4 negative pregnancy tests but somehow I feel I am. V bloated, regular cramps, more trips to toilet & run down. Gonna test once every wk.
I read too that if ur on medication it can effect the results, which I am.
Fingers crossed!!!
