Can anyone help? Been TTC for 9 months, cycle is 28 days. Never really had postive OV test using OPKs, only get a small amount of EWCM around day 9/10 so went to GP and had 21 day hormone test to check I was oving. Test was fine - all normal. Anyway but have just started using persona and today have got the OV symbol - but it's day 21 (of 28 day cycle remember). So could I be oving late? Could anything else cause it to give me the OV symbol this late in cycle? If I am oving late what can they do about it? (as I think I'm right in saying that you can't get pregnant if you're oving late)
Sorry for length of this but desperate to know what's going on.

There are various things you can take to regulate your cycle and hopefully extend the socond half of your month. There are threads about it smewhere - I wil have a look out for you.

does there have to be a certain amount of time between OV and period then?

It is considered short if less than 10 days.

Look out for threads on Angus Castus- this is what many people recommend. Should be lots of threads on it.

Hula is right - if there is too short a timespan between ovulating and your period it is known as luteal phase deficiency and although it does not stop you conceiving per se, the fertilised egg cannot implant because the hormone levels in your body aren't high enough.
Agnus Castus is a very well-known way of helping your cycle regulate itself naturally.
Good luck Katierocket.

KR - how long have u been using persona? if it's the first month i'd wait for a month or two to see which way OV goes.

Angus Catcus I've used, and bring OV forward, however in my case only did by a day or two, it also made AF earlier. (seemed to have a knock on effect on my whole system) I don't knwo if this is standard or not. Talk to holland and barrets/ a herbalist about it, Star flower can be used to thin CM a bit more - also helps greatly with PMT! or it does for me!

I always assumed that I was a 28 day cycle, after coming off the pill after 14 years, but found no two months were the same, although I have I was lucky in that I tried an ovulation test kit and found that I never got an accurate ovulation date, it was very faint, but that was around day 18/19 so just assumed I was ovulating on days 17/18/19/20 and refused to let DP leave the house on those days, and it worked! Am now 25 weeks pg. Only advice I could give it keep at it and try not to let it get you down.

possibly they do say don't expect it to pick up OV or any thing, i'd leave it for another couple of cycles to see what happens.
