i have been reading some old threads on opk's and i noticed that some posters were saying that for example they tested at say 8 and got nothing but then tested at say 2 and got a positive.
is this right and if so when would be the best time to test-am new to all this testing so would really appreciate replies.

Apparently the hormone that the opk's are testing for (LH) builds up during the day, so unlike pregnancy tests, it's best not to do them first thing in the morning.

The hormone surge can also be quite short so in some cases it's possible to 'miss' the strong positive if you only test once a day.

If you have no idea when you might ovulate, personally I think it's worth getting loads of cheap opk sticks off ebay and testing twice a day during the 'likely' times.

peeonastick is a good site for info
