It depends on what your normal cycle is. I used to count 28 days from the start of the last period to give me the date of the next. I don't know how early you can test as I waited 2 weeks after the day I was due on to test.

First response might just show up now, but you'd probably be better off waiting until the weekend (sorry)!

Kelly1978 Wed 23-Feb-05 16:20:26

There are 28 days between these dates, so it seems you have a pretty normal cycle, with 21 days between periods. This would make your next period due around 28th Feb. The earliest you can be sure of gettign a reasonably accurate result on a pg test is the day your period is due, so there is prob little point in testing until then. Good luck!

I got a positive test two days before period was due, this was with a standard cheapo test.

I used the First Response 4 days before and got a positive.

But, try again in a few days to be sure.

I tested the day my period was due and got a negative, but then got a positive 3 days later.

I had a 28-30 day cycle when TTC. My fertility woman doctor said to wait until 35 days to get a definite result.. On the other hand "First Response" reckon they can detect the pregnancy hormone by the 26th day of your cycle. I'd say it's still too early to test. Good luck though - hope it's positive.

KateandtheGirls Wed 23-Feb-05 16:45:46

Testing now can't hurt though, except for the disappointment if you get a negative when you may be pregnant anyway. Depends if you think it's worth it.

Kelly1978 Wed 23-Feb-05 16:47:54

I went to a clinic three days before and got a positive, but it's really best to wait to be sure.

it all depends when you ovulate per cycle and whether you're regularly 28 days .. after all your next period could be 40 days apart? it is impossible to tell from just one cycle I'm afraid

if you're regularly 28 days then KATG is right and it will be 28th .. no point testing till 26th at the earliest I'm afraid

but good luck
