Not sure about cost but I should think any hospital could do this - it might be worth phoning the lab to see what they advise.
Otherwise any infertility clinic (not sure what clinics there are in your area) should be able to do this and send the results to your hospital lab.
I'm sure your GP could advise here - he/she would know who to contact to get this done privately.

Laylasmum,we had one done at The Park Nottingham in 2002.It was about £70 from what I can remember.

We had an NHS one done too,GP filled out the slip & all we had to do was get it to the lab at Leicester Royal Infirmary.Perhaps I should mention, that if you do take a sample in,be sure to hand it to the technician rather than following instructions & leaving it in the tray.If it is left sitting in an in tray,it can lead to inaccurate results.Don't worry either, the techs there are used to it & see it every day!

can your GP not refer him? (ours gave DH a pot, and told him to get on with it) we had the results within about 4/5 days.

Hi,

Ours was done at a BUPA run hospital a few years back now. It cost around £70 for each test.

Would say that not all centres can do semen analysis as it is actually quite a specialised field.

Would suggest you speak with your GP initially. Do bear in mind that one semen analysis is not conclusive; often such tests have to be repeated.
