Just wondering if people lay off the booze and caffeine when TTC or just when until getting a BFP.
I have been but have been ttc for so long I don't know why I bother...

I did to start with, but then it gets a bit pointless and annoying.

Ironically the one month when I did pretty much everything I shouldn't have done, I got pregnant!

Including:

Alcohol
Caffeine
Lifting heavy objects
Dyeing my hair
Having an x-ray
Having a sauna
Taking drugs (ibuprofen... sleeping pills...)

Not much point worrying about all that now.

I think life is too short to think 'ooh I might be pregnant therefore for these two weeks I'm going to be really careful (i.e. boring).

Thought you meant abstain from sex - I was about to come and re-educate you on the birds and the bees!

I didnt... thought I would when we first planned to TTC...But I think TTC is hard enough without worrying about not drinking tea/ and wine etc. After only 2 weeks of TTC, i could see my chances of having a glass of wine ticking away in front of my eyes.... Night before I took the test I made a point of having a large drink - quite ashamed now! but thought it was my last chance!

I avoid caffeine - not religiously, I might have a couple of cups of tea or coffee a week - more because of my miscarriages than for ttc. I traditionally indulge in a large glass of wine (or two) the 'celebrate' the arrival of my period

That's a good idea. Mine arrived again yesterday, so will get some in to drown my sorrows.
