Hi.

We've been trying for #3 for a year now, but have had no luck so far.
I was just wondering how long you should leave things until you see you doctor, and if they would give any help as we already have two. A relative of ours said we probably wouldn't get any help on the nhs as we have our two sons.
Any one got any advice or experience on this?

I think you wouldn't get IVF but you should be able to get blood and sperm tests without any problems.

I would go now because they usually only ask you to keep trying for 2 years, sometimes one.

good luck.

Trying for a year is the usual benchmark. It's 6 months if you're over 35 (but that might be for first-timers). The inital tests are pretty straightforward, so it's well worth having them done and then thinking about options after (if there is a problem).
