I'm CD24 at the moment, I've been using ovulation kits that come up with two lines and they have to be the same colour or the left line has to be darker than the right line for it to be a positive result. If the result is positive then apparently you are due to ovulate within 24 to 36 hours, well I've been having positive tests for 5 days. Have i not ovulated yet? I'm confused.

sounds a bit wierd - I've never had a postive result with ovulation test so I'm a bit baffled as I have regular periods . . .maybe try taking temperature as well, next cycle, to see if you can spot when you're ovulating with that method. However, I do that too, and my temp is all over the place so I can't make head nor tail of that info either. We're seeing consultant for first time in a few weeks. TTC for 14 months.

Hi Jael. A friend of mine said she had positive results for 5 days or so and her ovulation was when the line started to disappear. Whereas I am like soswab - I hardly ever seem to get a positive result on the OPK's - but do get other syptoms.....

It's so confusing, I just don't know what's going on with my body, and as this is my first month trying too, I've never used OPK's before, and thought they'd be easier to read! I have got crampy pains, not really good at checking CM as I always seem to have some discharge everyday (sorry TMI)

May I ask, why are you using OPKs? It sounds like you could be making you more stressed and confused, particulrly if it's your first month of trying.

Do you have any children?

Yeah weve got one aged 2 1/2 fell pregnant straight away with her, didn't need to use OPK's or anything. I had my coil out on 10th July and decided that we wanted to try straight away, had my first post coil period 27th July, and decided to try and work out when I was ovulating so that we could conceive fairly quickly again (hopefully), we would use OPK's. I had positive results on CD12 and CD13, but still kept using them, along with BD everday, I have now had positive results for the past 5 days, and I'm just confused that's all...

i always use the digital ones: opk & hpt. mroe expensive, but i found myself becoming totally obsessed with the darkness of the lines! it spells it out to you. (that's not to say i've never picked open the digital ones for closer inspection )
