I had a m/c just over 4 weeks ago, only just 4.5 weeks. only bled for 1 day with lots of cramps/clotc etc.(no other loss)

Tested on Fri+Sat and positive pg test. went to early pg assement at hospital and hcg level 83,
got to go back for another blood test tomorrow.

my head is up my bum, I am thinking have I still got hormones from last month, should the hcg level still that high after 4 weeks. or could I have got caught staight away. (they only reason we tried so soon, was because it took 18 months to concieve for my dd, and I know i was probally more fertile).

Sorry to waffle, just need any advise going

Hello indamb,

i had a miscarriage about 3.5 weeks ago, maybe 4 weeks. I think you may be pregnant as I had two blood test during my m/c and the hcg levels plummented in a space of two days.

I have my fingers crossed for you, this would certainly be a lovely result. Let us know, i am a regular on the ttc after m/c thread, and this would certainly give us hope.

You can fall straightaway, or maybe you were carrying more than one? Whatever happens, my fingers and toes are crossed for you

it is possible - this is what happened with me when i had dd. on the day i did a pos test i started bleeding; like you i reckon i was about 4 and a bit wks pg. That happened the week before christmas so had a fairly miserable time of it over christmas and new year. middle of jan realised i hadn't had a period yet but felt hormonal so was expecting it to be a period from hell. at end of january still didn't even consider i was pg but someone told me to test as my boobs were absolutely killing me by then. got a positive and dd arrived in the september! fingers crossed for you x
someone told me that you are actually more liekly to get pg after a misc because of all the hormones still floating about

thanks everyone,

feel like i am walikng on air, and feel like i have had a boob job overnight (sore and very heavy).

dd thinks she's had a birthday/christmas all in one day, she has had that much chocolate today. whatever she wanted she got. hope she doesn't think it will carry on tomorrow. but then she is my little princess and i love her so much, its ok to spoil her once in a while.
