Hello lovely mumsnetters!

Please tell me if I should take an hpt this morning. Here are the details.

During a normal cycle, AF would have been due last Monday. My last cycle went a little wacky and was 31 days instead of 28, so according to those calculations, AF was due on Thursday. It's Saturday morning here in Oz, and still no AF with some hardening that I can feel with my hand in the uterine region.

I had a negative hpt on Thursday, is it too early to test again?

So you're 5 days over on a 'normal' cycle and two days on an abnormal one?

Thanks, that's exactly the encouragement I wanted! I suppose the only thing to lose is an hpt, and some money when I buy more.

i would test in the morning with the first urine of the day as the hcg is strongest in that sample at this point you wouldn t be able to feel your uterus or any hardening of it as it is too deep in your pelvis to palpate it, this is usually high enough to feel by 12 weeks onwards sounds quite positive for you though IMO do you monitor your excretions or temp to see when you ovulate? this will give you a better idea of when your period is due but if your cycle is regular at 28-31 days and you are sure you are late then chances are that you are pregnant keep us posted!! good luck

You cant feel your uterus with your hand though! Even if you are pg its stil its normal size and well below your pubic bone!

I'd test if I were you!
