I am possibly, very likely testing tomorrow...will be 14 dpo.....wondered if anyone would like to join me for testing now or in the next week.....

SparkyMalarky Wed 13-Aug-08 21:08:19

Later in the week?...Nelix - you're just testing yourself now wink Good luck hon - keep us posted...

SparkyMalarky Wed 13-Aug-08 21:09:58

(sorry - just re-read that post, I meant you're just testing yourself to see how long you can wait without testing, yourself......has that made it any clearer? - I shouldn't have had that beer!!)

hugs thanks sparky! I must be the only one testing....or the only one testing who is not on one of the massive threads!grin

Hi nelix i'm due on 16th so def testing next week if no AF. Had a few achey twinges tho, got a sneaky feeling its not gonna be this month!

wasabipeanut Thu 14-Aug-08 10:32:40

Oooh I'm due Saturday. If no AF will test Sunday of I can hold out.

Been imagining all sorts but can't be as its only month one.

Good luck everyone!

wasabipeanut Thu 14-Aug-08 10:34:14

BTW, are the cheapo Boots own brand tests any good?

Am loath to start buying £10 a pop Clearblue's at this point.

nelix2000 Thu 14-Aug-08 11:15:56

me too damdaffs i have twinges and a neg result today but AF not due until tomorrow so i guess time will tell!

wasabipeanut surte you can hold out......i am sure boots test is fine....most generic brands are only more expensive because of all the packaging and the brand name....! goodluck!

damdaffs Thu 14-Aug-08 11:26:19

wasabipeanut, i got a positive result last time with a cheap and nasty type drugstore test, not even as posh as boots - but i was 5 days over by that time.

10 quid is A LOT!

llynnnn Thu 14-Aug-08 17:21:06

i'm trying to hold out testing to the weekend too! have quite irregular cycles but am on day 35 now! am waiting patiently until sunday!!

every month i get it into my head that i must be pg, then the day after, af comes in force!!

damdaffs Fri 15-Aug-08 07:27:19

ooooh, good morning nelix, any news??? 35 sounds hopeful smile.i know its hard when you get your hopes up. i was lucky first time and it happened really quickly but this time nature is making me wait and wait...

nelix2000 Fri 15-Aug-08 08:27:59

good morning everyone....well no period so far it ususally arrives in the is when it was due...and well....fingers crossed....every day it is not here is a day closer!......hows everyone else holding out???

llynnnn Fri 15-Aug-08 08:57:28

thanks damdaffs!
still no arrival here either! i dont have ANY symptoms at all of either pg or af. Is this a good sign??
i'm sure when i had dd i had really sore bb's for a while before i even tested

damdaffs Fri 15-Aug-08 09:19:07

hmm, ive got sore bb's but usually get that pre-AF anyway. had heartburn all night tho, i thought 'ooh, possible weirdy symptom'..hmm

wouldnt it be brilliant if one of us did it this month!!

who is going to cave in and test first?

llynnnn Fri 15-Aug-08 09:38:00

it would be fab!! hope its all of us!
i usually get sore bb's the week before af, but theres nothing this week at all? wierd!

i cant cave before sunday, have my mil staying with us until tomorrow night, wouldnt want to have to tell her too soon!!

damdaffs Fri 15-Aug-08 09:42:51

....oh, MILs!! Mines dreadful grin

looks like it will be wasabipeanut or nelix next then. i cant test till monday earliest and prob tues would be better.

nelix2000 Fri 15-Aug-08 09:48:17

I am leaving testing as long as possible....every day without AF is a good sign to me......I feel kinda sad tho as I know its gonna come....i just wonder if its the stress thats keeping it away....maybe I am just setting myself up for the worst lol cos this is the worst wait of my life!...I will not test till monday if AF is not here over the weekend.....not a matter of willpower for me....but hope!.....aaah ladies lol dont cave hold out for testing!!!

damdaffs Fri 15-Aug-08 10:30:42

i think you're right; test too early and you might get a false negative even! I've only got one test left so i'm saving it. if i dont do it this month, i think i'm going to get into fanatical mode...39 now so got to get on with it - yikes!

llynnnn Fri 15-Aug-08 12:07:35

i've been leaving it for the last few days too and if my lovely mil hadnt been at our house i wouldve probably caved by now!!

i agree though nelix, before you test there is still that hope there and as soon as you get that negative all hope vanishes!

nelix2000 Sat 16-Aug-08 12:16:42

well its cd 33 and still not testing woo! and no period as yet but the more i think about it the more i feel i am tainting it.....i am now officially one day over tho!smile

Legoleia Sat 16-Aug-08 12:21:15

Hmm tested yesterday as it's been 40 days since my last period - used the clearblue digital fancy one I got free via MN and ....... "not pregnant". So what's going on I wonder? Grr

nelix2000 Sat 16-Aug-08 13:52:28

eeek lego not sure whats going on...I signed up for the clearblue trial on here and got a new test from them with conception indicator telling you when you conceived....will be trying it tomorrow if AF is still at bay!

llynnnn Sat 16-Aug-08 14:24:25

well i caved and tested this morning with the clearblue trial test and surprise surprise got a bfN
i thought it was fate that i get a pg test through the post when i'm already late and couldnt resist testing. still no af though and now on day 37, I'm catching u up lego! have our af's gone on their jollies together!
still have no af or pg symptoms and will hold off testing again until midweek (unless af comes sooner)
hope everyone else has more luck!

nelix2000 Sat 16-Aug-08 14:32:31

good luckllynnnn....did you test first thingin the morning? thats all thats stopping me test with my free one lol I missed my morning wee!

Legoleia Sat 16-Aug-08 14:46:48

Perhaps the amazingly technological, battery-powered, scientific uber-futuristic wonderfully-intelligent Clearblue tests don't work, eh? wink
