Symptom spotting - not due for at least another 3 days (only had one cycle since m/c in June so not quite sure) but just caved and did a HPT. BFN obviously.

But - waking most nights to go to the loo (which I never do) and could smell the red bull that someone was drinking near me on the bus the other morning. hmm Am also feeling v sicky of an evening (had that with last pg, but clearly didn't end well )

I promised DH I'd try not to get so obsessed about getting pg again after the m/c but it's very difficult!!

Anyone else need to stay away from the clearblue for a few more days?

itsallsoscary Tue 05-Aug-08 12:46:17

Well, I tested this morning (BFN sad) and AF due tomorrow or Thursday. Am convinced am pg, but used the firstreponse that claims it is 98%accurate 2 days before AF due and can be used up to 6 days early.... So maybe am not sad
BUT sore boobs, spots, timed BDing perfectly (i thought)... WHat is going on?!?!?!

nelix2000 Tue 05-Aug-08 13:04:35

hi sparky I started a thread a bit like this but no-one responded....I have symptoms too but not sure if I am imagining it....AF is not due till next week so I have ages to wait till I can test....grr....I forgot how horrid this bit was...the waiting....I am wanting to test on saturday only a week after possible conception lol!.....trying to hold off as it will def say a neg result even if I am pregnant......but waiting is soooooooo hard!!! smile

SparkyMalarky Tue 05-Aug-08 14:55:43

Am so glad it's not just me

Sorry I didn't find your thread nelix - and like you itsall, have sort of convinced myself I am (got the spots too wink) but now trying to convince myself I'm not so that I'm not too sad when AF arrives.

Now - how do I stop myself testing again tomorrow (yes, I bought the twin pack!!!)

cakesandchocolate Tue 05-Aug-08 16:27:27

Well in that case in my experience you're buggered. I can never have a test in the house. I'd be there, 1st thing in the morning, hiding the rustle - DH is unaware of my testing habit!! Maybe that's the answer - give it to DH for safe keeping!
I am due on 17th ish and am counting the days. Have promised myself to try reaaaaaally hard not to obsess, but as you can see just by my being here I am already failing a bit!!!
I am in cycle 8 trying for no3, how about you all?

nelix2000 Tue 05-Aug-08 16:53:20

cycle one trying for dc 2.....conceived cycle one with ds one so hoping for same result!...doubt it lol but hey i am up for trying again.....and again.....yes cakes.....erm my dp has removed all 10 of my tests from the house..she already knew I would test so was one step ahead of me and i am under strict intructions to buy no more.....i promised too damnit!grin

SparkyMalarky Tue 05-Aug-08 20:16:24

Cycle 1 (after m/c) trying for no 2. Got pregnant cycle 1 with DS, and cycle 2 for m/c so hopefully not too long

Have a confession. Have no self control and did the other test (I know - couldn't possibly have a BFP after a BFN this morning, so another BFN...but it took slightly longer to decide (it was a digital one) - does that mean anything? wink

At least they're all out the house now (and my DH has no idea about my testing habit either!! blush)

Hi ladies, i am on another thread but thought i'd add my worries to the worry-pot, i am a week overdue (possibly - had a small bleed 2 weeks ago) and very strong symptoms, nausea, weeing lots, bloated, very tired, sore boobs etc but all i get is BFN.

I am cycle 2 (1st cycle ended in M/C) and ttc number 2, so similar to you guys.

Crap all this symptom spotting huh.

eth37 Tue 05-Aug-08 21:19:03

Hey everyone, well I am on cycle 1 ttc DC1! So a true novice in this world.... AF due tomorrow. Am already nervous and keep rushing to the toilet to 'check' (eew!) I too have a serious testing habit and had to randomly empty the bathroom bin at 7am this morning to hide the remnants from DH!! He has absolutely no idea how much I have spent on tests....!! Even before we were 'officially' ttc I would normally test, 'just in case'!! Oh dear......

SparkyMalarky Tue 05-Aug-08 21:33:52

Heebychick sorry to hear you're stuck in limbo Especially if you're a week late. Did I see on another thread you've got blood tests later this week? Obviously I'd be bankrupting myself with HPTs if it were me, but are you taking a break from testing? Have everything crossed for a BFP for you. And you're right - it's definitely crap.

Hi eth - you're much more savvy than I was with DS - too much champagne and we were away wink. Good luck for tomorrow...have you got a test stashed away ready?! Let us know how you get on

Feel quite crampy now so think I may have imagined it all and AF must be coming. I have reflexology booked for the weekend so hoping that will help regulate everything again..it definitely made a difference last month.

Must stay positive and away from the tests!

Heebychick Wed 06-Aug-08 08:55:06

Good morning ladies, Thanks sparky yes i have almost taken out shares in all HPT companies! I have one CB Digi left so will wait till tomorrow to take it, then yes the Dr said to have a blood test on Friday if no news so if nothing tomorrow i will confirm the appointment.

I have almost convinced myself that i am in fact ill and not PG, that the bleed earlier was in fact a very early and light period and in fact i am now half way through my next cycle.

We have pretty much decided to wait if i am not PG and let my body settle down for a while (and find out why i do feel so poorly!)

Good luck for this weekend, i really hope the cramps don't turn out to be AF, what day will you test if not? I'd love to go for reflexology. i have a bad back at the moment and i'm sure it would help.

eth i have to laugh at your 'i'm just going to empty the bins darling, no dont get up!' tee hee ... welcome to the up and down world of ttc!

nelix2000 Wed 06-Aug-08 09:29:38

hey everyone!......I am 'allowed' to test at the weekend...even though it will be testing 5 days early, neither of us can resist....I guess thats the beurty of having a female dp, she is almost as bad as i am but trying to stop me spending loads on tests.....I would do it daily otherwise!

however I ave had cramping last night and this morning but its a full 10 days before AF is due, so dunno what that is! just hope it doesnt come early and mess up my cycle! hmm

ontheup Wed 06-Aug-08 09:39:36

Hi ladies can I join you? I'm ttc DC2 after an mc at Easter - due on Friday but think I have symptoms but the prob is that I had hardly any with DS so cant decide if this is all wishful thinking - I have a FR in the bathroom now but have resisted so far!!!!!

Heebychick Wed 06-Aug-08 09:56:02

nelix could it be imbedding and implantation cramps? i had these and no Af which my Dr said often happens as your uterus moves etc and the egg imbeds?

ontheup when i want to test early i kind of tell myself that the first morning wee is the only one you can test with so once i've gone in the morning i think 'oh well that's me out for another day' - this might help keep you from ripping open the wrapper!

SparkyMalarky Wed 06-Aug-08 09:59:11

How is everyone this morning? Still resisting? I feel sick in the evening and actually threw up last night (sorry - TMI) but still BFN on the test (yes, I bought another, but a cheap boots own this time blush). After that, I'm determined to wait until Sunday now - I'd be on CD31 if AF hasn't turned up by then (of course, I bought another twin pack, so check in again this time tomorrow to confirm my lack of self control )

eth - do we have a BFP to celebrate? (or just another early morning trip to empty the bins) Fingers crossed.

nelix having a female DP surely has several advantages (am thinking of my Men are from Mars, women from Venus conversations with my DH!) Understanding of the need to test just one of them. Fingers crossed for Saturday (is cramping a sign of early pregnancy?.....)

And ontheup welcome There are a few mc survivors on here. It's making me much more obsessed this time

Heeby - how are you feeling today? I love reflexology, I think it's perfect for making you feel a bit more balanced and able to cope (and frankly, lying in a dark room for an hour without having to speak whilst someone massages my feet is reason enough to do it!!)

SparkyMalarky Wed 06-Aug-08 10:00:20

Heeby - think we just crossed threads

ontheup Wed 06-Aug-08 10:24:11

LOL heeby thats EXACTLY what I have done so far today grin

thanks sparky I agree re obsession - also makes yuo more scared i think. With DS I was blithley unaware of all that can go wrong - oh to turn that particular clock back!

Any BFPs so far today i wonder??

nelix2000 Wed 06-Aug-08 10:51:19

Hey everone....we are almost one day closer to testing!
sparky I think it can be an early sign of pregnancy like heeby said it could be implantation as I am a good week from AF so I know its not my period...at least I hope its not lol!.....good lord why is the weekend SO far away!!!!!!!

Heebychick Wed 06-Aug-08 10:58:15

Hi sparky yes we crossed threads! hope you manage to hold out - mid you sunday is a lifetime away! you are so good!

SparkyMalarky Wed 06-Aug-08 11:55:07

I think it's safe to say I won't hold out - especially as I have a party to go to on Saturday so will want to check if I am officially off the booze, or just hoping to be wink

Am crossing everything for a BFP on this thread in the next 2 weeks - surely one of us must be up the duff

nelix2000 Wed 06-Aug-08 13:20:05

LOL sparky yes at least one of us must be! surely, its only a matter of numbers! wink

ontheup Wed 06-Aug-08 13:42:34

Well i did a test and.............the bl@@dy thing didn't work!!!!

it was a Cb and the 'test' stripe hasnt come up so now i don't know whether the BFN means anything or not (mid, I am 3 days early to be testing anyway)

It was the only one i have too so now i really can't test today. Such willpower blush

Heebychick Wed 06-Aug-08 16:03:57

OH NO! how annoying! i did a FR yesterday at work and because i was in a rush i didn't wee long enough and it took ages to appear then the test stripe was very weak so i wonder whether it worked or not! (still clutching straws hey)

Yes someone must be preggers! come ladies get those double lines!

xx

Heebychick Wed 06-Aug-08 16:05:00

My money is on nelix and sparky ...

nelix2000 Wed 06-Aug-08 16:13:05

lol!!!! a faint positive heeby?if so my moneys on you.......can you bet on yourself?mind you I don't want to set myself up for a fall....plus I am affraid of heights! wink
