Morning yellowflowers. Glad you started the new thread, kept meaning to do it

AF arrived this morning, which I was quite pleased about as it means I can start thinking about a May baby

HNYF - We're all waiting with baited breath and our crossed fingers and toes are starting to ache.....

Sorry forgot the basic bit
TTC#4 Cycle 6 Due around 27th Aug (although 5 days late this month so who knows).

Hi can I join, I am 43 and ttc my 4th and LAST baby.

I am on cd4 of my 2nd cycle ttc and finding all this charting stuff a little stressful. All my others have been happy accidents

If fact DD was a HUGE surprise after a 21 year gap but I have loved being a mummy again so much that we have decided to try for just one more.

A May baby sounds lovely!

FeelingDeviant · 30/07/2008 10:29

My DD is a may baby.
TTC again for another DC, so mind if I join you?

Using OPKs from babymad for first time and temping.
Does anyone else use these? If so, instructions say to wee at about 2pm, but this isn't always practical for me, does it really matter that much?

Hi ladies.

Have shied away from these threads as I found them all rather depressing, moving on to the next one each month ... but I've been off them for about a year and am still ttc so thought I'd dive back in for a bit.

I'm off in about an hour to have my second scan this cycle to see if the puregon is working - cross your fingers for me at about 12.15.

TTC#2 cycle 7 (4x Clomid, 2x Menopur, 1x Puregon) CD 11.

Forgot to add.
I'm aged 37, TTC no.2 (took two years to conceive DD), 3rd cycle, cd 22, have long and unpredictable cycles so no idea when period due.

Tigerschick · 30/07/2008 10:38

Feelingdeviant - do you know why you have such long cycles? It took us just over 3 years to conceive dd without any medical intervention. When we started thinking about dc#2 we didn't want to risk having to wait so long so I went to the dr and have been diagnosed with PCOS and have been having treatment for just on a year now - tho most people are successful quicker than that!

Welcome lillypie, FeelingDeviant and Tigerschick
Fingers definitely will be crossed for you at lunchtime Tigerschick. We're here if you need a bit of moral support, just to vent frustration or for a virtual hug

Note to self - don't try and cook lunch with crossed fingers

Hi ladies!

I saw this on the last thread, and would love to join in again. May would be an utterly lovely time to have a baby (though I think any month would be a lovely time to have a baby )

Any news on HNYF? Did she test yet??

Fingers crossed for you Tigerschick - hope scan shows it's all working and you get a BFP positive and a lovely May baby!!

FeelingDeviant I use the Clear Blue Fertility Monitor rather than OPKs, so can't help.

My AF is due around 17th/18th August, currently on CD 6. I'm ttc #1, on cycle 9.

Thanks for thoughts ladies
Will report back later.

Caitni - 9 cycles is a long time ... wishing you lots of luck this time around.
JLo2 - LOL at cooking with fingers crossed

Morning Caitni. Great to see you back
Haven't heard any news from HNYF yet. She was going to test yesterday so I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I have used OPKs, but I didn't find them that useful as my cycle is also a bit unpredictable. I went through loads! I may give them another go this month. In mine it says you should test between 12 and 5pm, so I think you've probably got a bit of leeway with your 2pm.

I have made myself a promise not to test before 1st Sept. Not sure if I'll manage it though. I'll need help to stay strong

Report
JLo2 · 30/07/2008 11:46

I meant preg test, not Ov test on the 1st Sept.

FeelingDeviant · 30/07/2008 11:56

Tigerschick no idea why the long cycles, maybe because I'm no spring chicken?
Was going to have IVF last time and was got a BFP a month before first appointment at clinic.

Part of the problem last time was the fact that I was travelling quite a bit for work and it wasn't until I stopped work that it actually happened for us. So, at the moment, DH has 6 weeks off for the summer, I'm not working and DD is in nursery ...

Was lucky two summers ago with conceiving DD by just spending some relaxing time together, so hoping that the same thing will happen again.

Good luck everyone!

Hi Guys,

Sorry i haven't been able to get on here as much as I wanted to have done this week.

AF arrived yesterday. I did test yesterday morning which is typical as it then arrived yesterday evening.

Oh well, I'm up for a May baby so will be put extra effort in this month. !!!

Good luck to everyone else and all newcomers.

TTC#4, Cycle 2, Obviously AF not due until end of Aug now.

JLo2 happy to help with the support needed to resist testing - early testing was the bane of my first few months of ttc, must have wasted so much money

Hulababy · 30/07/2008 12:02

Wanted to wish you all good luck.

I am on my first month of Clomid - so fingers crossed here too, although have to admit to not feeling very optimistic right now about it all.

Hello everyone,

1st of Sept is great idea as go on holiday day after that and would be good to know by then. Okay, will try not to test until Sept 1st though probs period will come before then.

Only managed BD once so far this cycle - am on cd 8 so doesn't matter yet but next week the important one...

Have just bought 15 cheap pregnancy tests from babymad on ebay though...

Hello. I would like a May baby too, please! (And also some moral support to stop me testing - thank God Boots' stupid 2 for 1 First Response offer is finally OVER.)

I'm TTC 1, Cycle 2, CD27

Report
lillypie · 30/07/2008 12:15

My AF is due on the 29th so I will try and hold off testing until the first 1st of Sept as well.

I go on holiday on the 2nd too would be brilliant to go with a BFP!!

JLo2 · 30/07/2008 12:41

Looks like I've started a trend! It's easy saying it now, but my resolve will be much weaker by the end of August.
If you are CD27 wildfig, you'll be needing serious moral support now

Sorry to hear AF arrived HNYF. That is really annoying when you've tested in the morning too

JLo2 · 30/07/2008 12:46

BTW I noticed on the Boots website they're now doing a 3 for 2 offer on preg tests.
Aaargh!
Repeat after me: I really do not want 6 pregnancy tests. I really do not need 6 pregnancy tests.....(repeat many mant times)

Sadly, no - I've been unable to resist testing (the LAST month I will be so ridiculous, I swear) and had a conclusive selection of BFNs, so am just waiting for AF and my 'never mind' AF night steak now. And possibly my 'never mind' sales shopping at the weekend.

Can I join you as well? TTC1, Cycle 3, CD12, AF due between 17 - 20/8/08.

Oooooooooh, just used OPK and got a faint line so I'm ovulating!
DH and I have been lounging in bed, so fingers crossed.

Have been temping too, but no spike in temperature. Is this ominous does anyone know?
