Sallie Tue 04-Jan-05 17:12:21

Thanks for suggesting that I start this thread - its a real honour. Won't be leaving it yet as am only on cd24, despite getting bfps from the 3 tests I have done today (paranoid or what?!).
Lots and lots of babydust to everyone. If this pg is successful, I will have conceived in the midst of an awful cold so that should give everyone some hope. Lots and lots of hugs.....

Here's my shedload of babydust to you all. Happy new year to all, and may you all leave this thread for an antenatal club soon.

Hulababy Tue 04-Jan-05 17:46:18

Congratulations Sallie - a great start to the new year

Update on stats to get us all started maybe???

Hula's stats

TTC for baby #2
DD (2y 8m) took quite a while (15 months, early mc, then another 14-15 months) to arrive so hoping this time is quicker
On CD6 of Month 5 of TTC
Using FF to monitor temps and CM to help pinpoint OV
FF failed to identify OV last two months, but CM suggests otherwise.
Cycle length has ranged from 25 to 32 days, OV from CD13 to CD17

Good luck to everyone.

hunkermunker Tue 04-Jan-05 17:50:27

Congratulations, Sallie! (Only just joined the TTC threads!)

HunkerMunker's stats:

TTC baby #2
DS (9m) is still breastfed, so who knows what's going on with my cycle?! I have endometriosis and PCOS, and he was conceived on the first cycle of Clomid I took after 10 months of TTC.
On CD35 of Month 1 of TTC
Not using any fertility charting tools, but no doubt I will soon!
Cycle length has ranged from 25 to 54 days, have no idea when I OV. I've had two periods since DS was born, 50 days apart.

Here's hoping 2005 brings us all little bundles of joy

jeddah Tue 04-Jan-05 18:36:48

RudyDudy Tue 04-Jan-05 19:08:59

Thanks Sallie and colinsmommy and bonkerz and moschops!

Here's hoping to a lucky and fertile 2005 for us all!

My stats:

TTC for baby #2
DS(14m) was conceived after 6 months and first month that persona showed the O (took 3 months).
On CD10 of TTC cycle 3
Using persona but only for one month so still waiting for the magic O!
Cycle length has ranged from 35 - 40 days

BeckiF Tue 04-Jan-05 19:33:55

Good luck all.

marinda Tue 04-Jan-05 19:57:06

Here's mine:
TTC baby #2
DS (3y 8m)
On CD9 of Month 6 of TTC
Using OPK for OV- but do not really feel these are very reliable -so thinking about changing to persona.
Cycle length ranges from 23 to 28 days,
Seem to OV on CD8

sparkly Tue 04-Jan-05 21:20:10

Sallie - congrats - I'm cd23 and going to try to wait till cd29 to test which would be next Monday I think. Weekend is going to seem soooo long.

My stats:

TTC baby 2
DD (5yo)
Took ages to get pregnant first time - did clomid, ivf etc with no luck then, somehow, just got pregnant
First month of TTC
Not using an opk yet - will do if no results by 6 months

Good luck to everyone!

Fastasleep Tue 04-Jan-05 21:36:38

Oh my god I missed the thread change and everything! I hope you're all alright, and congrats to all the new lucky bfp girls! I've been madly busy... sorry if I've missed anythin important , I miss babbling on here! Hester, cockenzie, jeds, jingle, you there loves? Any news?

fastasleep's stats -

Ttc #2, only been at it properly for 2 months, but had not been using protection whilst breastfeeding for 9ish months previously. DS is only 10 months old and I'm only 17, but I'm obviously a bit daft in the head

I'm currently on cd 25 of a 30 day cycle - 13 dpo by my reckoning, nesting madly, picking up on every twinge and trying my hardest not to test!

morningpaper Tue 04-Jan-05 22:03:42

TTC #2 (dd is 2 years and 3 months)
CD 5 of I think cycle 5 but DH says it's only cycle 3 because we didn't try PROPERLY until then...

I am enjoying all the BD but I REALLY REALLY WANT A BABY SO MUCH! I really want to give dd a baby sister or brother because she asks for one all the time.

bonkerz Tue 04-Jan-05 22:11:50

ofcourse you can have them hula! email me your address and i will post them at some point this week! think i have about 10!!! they are the ones from medisave!

cockenzie Tue 04-Jan-05 22:14:36

congrats sallie.

heres my stats:

TTC baby #2
DD (11m) is still breastfed, so who knows what's going on with my cycle?! I started 0n 34 days when she was born and for the last 6 months its gone down to 29 days.so in theory, this month should be a 28 days cycle.
On CD11 of Month 5 of TTC
using FF and BBT.
i dont know yet when I OV.

cockenzie Tue 04-Jan-05 22:15:43

btw what is clomid and what does it do?

logic Tue 04-Jan-05 22:18:40

hunkermunker Tue 04-Jan-05 23:07:39

Hi Cockenzie - Clomid regulated my ovulation as I have PCOS and don't do it very well or frequently!

I had follicle tracking too, two scans to check I'd ovulated and how many eggs there were as Clomid can overstimulate the ovaries. I had one egg and the lady doing the scan didn't sound hopeful that I'd get pg, but obviously it was a good egg (lol) as he's now asleep in his cot So I saw DS as an egg!

Twiga Wed 05-Jan-05 08:11:28

Happy New Year everyone! Hope you all had a good break and are raring to go get those bfp's!!!

Had a good break myself and now hopefuly well on the way to a bit of good nes sometime soon......finished the course of clomid and managed to bd on the right night and everything (stunned silence)...even got a positive result on an ovulation test so fingers crossed......

Not had a chance to read through all of last years final threads but if anyone has had good news - congrats!

munnzieb Wed 05-Jan-05 09:00:03

hi all, thanks for the new thread sallie, and congrats to you as well, that last thread was really lucky! hopefully this one will be as well.

HM - Welcome to the madness hon! lol.

did my persona thing this morning - and...... dududummmmm saw a huge 'o' sign, (too bad dh isn't home till next week thou! lol) so, in short I know i'm Ov everymonth and not every other as I first thought - doh means the quack knew what he was on about all along! so anyhow, back to the point, yesterday I was upset as I didn't think i would OV this month and was going to ask for the clomid etc.. when we went on 25th, but now i've OV'ed two months on the trott, i'm now thinking do I really need to go to the Gyno after all, as i'll feel like i'm wastin his time really, as we were only just TTC on cycle 7 (I think or 6) when we were refered and since then DH has been away, so should I cancell this appt and see what progresses when DH returns or should I go just to have an all over check up? - I assume thou as I OV theres nothing wrong with my tube? being that i'm only 22, and am Ov, surely theres someone in better need than I for the appt?? what do u guys think?

FS - we're all still here I think, thou where young jedds is I don't know the O showed up for her! lol, and prob hester as well - he he talkin of which OI GIRLIES U TWO WHERE R U?? lol.

Hulababy Wed 05-Jan-05 09:21:00

Thanks bonkerz. I am hoping that they will help pinpoint Ov, seeing as Ff seems unable. I will CAT you now, or you can e-mail me on claireandrich(at)beeb(dot)net, if easier.

CD7 for me today so all is quiet. OV will be Cd13/14 at the earliest.
