There are lots of stories in the news today about the effectiveness of acupuncture. I had it to treat psoriasis. I have heard it is benefical for fertility problems too, just wondering whether anyone has any experience with it whislt trying to concieve.

Yes, I had two sessions over two weeks and it cleared up within a week. It hasnt returned, last outbreak was over 6 months ago.
I also recomend aloe vera cream/gel for psorasis.

Anyone with experience with it for conceiving. If I test neg this month, am going to give it a go.

I'm having acupuncture weekly (have had 4 sessions now) as my gyne thought that maybe stress re ttc was causing problems - it hasn't helped me get pg yet but dh is very happy as I am now much more chilled out and am not bursting into tears on a daily basis.

Hi Foi,
Let me know if and when you have a positive result.
How long have you been TTC?

if you are worried about needles, reflexology is also worth considering for ttc.

I am sure it is what worked for me.We had been TTC for 3.5 years with no obvious fertility probs, but had been told by various consultants that we'd never concieve naturally after such a long time.Even clomid didn't work.

I started acupuncture & got regular periods after a few months,6 months later I was pregnant.Sadly it was ectopic, but I carried on with the acupuncture & just 7 wks after losing our 1st baby,I was pregnant again.DD was born fit & healthy on her due date.

I am now lucky enough to be pregnant again, with no treatment at all.I am sure that it was the acupncture that balanced my system out & got it working properly.I can definately reccomend it.

reflexology is not for me, I have very ticklish feet. Just the thought of of someone coming near my feet makes me shudder. I have heard people have had success with reflexology though.

cori,

reflexology doesnt tickle and with the right therapist, you'd be fine.

there are far too many people out there who worry about their feet!! they think they have horrid feet, for example, and wont get them out, but believe me, i havent come across any horrid feet yet .

and we have techniques to calm even the most ticklish!
