Just a thread for any ladies ttc after a miscarriage! Nice to get some support from people going through the same thing. So I had a MMC at ten weeks nearly three weeks ago now. I'm still getting faint positive on tests. My ovulation tests are still all over the place possibly due to the HCG still being in my system. So not totally accurate right now. So I'm currently stuck in limbo land either waiting for ovulation or my period 🤔 any ladies want to join the journey?!?!

Hello!
I'm really sorry to hear that you have had a miscarriage. I didn't have a miscarriage but my daughter was born prematurely and lived for 2 days. We've been trying to conceive for a year since losing her.
I've got faint positive tests yesterday and today and feel like the line isn't progressing so obviously going into panic mode.
Xxx

@Hhdxx hello! I'm so sorry to hear that you also have been through such a horrible time. Can't imagine what you have been through and still going through. Have u had any tests done? Was this your first pregnancy? Hopefully the test keep getting darker some times it takes a few days for them to get darker especially if your using strip tests. IV got everything crossed for you 🤞✨ xx

HI,
@Skl20211 I've just started my own thread with some very specific questions but sending you hugs and support as well. I had a MMC at our 12-week scan also 3 weeks ago. Medical management and then surgical management (it all went a bit wrong and was very distressing) but had final scan last week and tests negative. How are you feeling now?

@Hhdxx Also sending massive hugs to you too, cannot believe how hard life gets for some people. I know you're panicking, giving you a handhold x

@Acrossthevalley hi! Our stories sound similar mine was also found around 12 weeks 😩 I had a natural miscarriage as I was already bleeding. Yes very traumatic sorry yours was too. I'm doing ok feeling a bit more positive about the future. My bleeding stopped last week however I'm still getting faint positive tests. My ovulation tests are all over the spot but probably picking up on leftover HCG! IV had no follow ups or support from the hospital or midwives. The aftercare is shocking. Now I'm just waiting for either ovulation or my period so we can start trying again. How are you doing? X

@Skl2021 Oh no, that's such a shame you've had no support afterwards :( I wonder if that's a hangover from covid or it just always is like that. I had a follow up scan as they couldn't get everything out in the surgery, I had local anaesthetic but it didn't really work due to swelling and in the end I told them to stop as it was too painful. So they wanted to scan to check nothing was left. Not done any ovulation tests or anything, I'm too shell shocked still! I may wait for period first and see what's going on. Plus I'm not sure I'm ready yet. So in summary, I'm doing very badly emotionally!! Have you spoken to many people about it? I've told people what happened but I just can't talk about it otherwise or about how I'm feeling.

Hey ladies, can I join? I'm so sorry to hear of your stories :-(

I've had 4 mcs now and currently in my TWW after my most recent mc last cycle. I'm 36 and so just giving it my all and trying again after every mc (as this has happened over 2 years now and feel like I'm running out of time).

I'm on cycle day 23 at the mo... where's everyone else at? xxx

@Acrossthevalley from the stories IV read I think that's normal for aftercare. Absolute no check ups unless you have medical management which is shocking. I have to get back in touch if I'm still getting positive tests but that's it. Sorry you had such a rough time. I was petrified of having medical management but glad everything is clear for you! I'm testing as I just wanted to see what's going on with my cycle. I don't know when to expect ovulation or period it's all just a guessing game isn't it 😩 I think I'm dealing ok with it. IV been through every emotion possible and cried and cried and cried but I'm desperate to be pregnant again so think we will try straight away or after first period. All my family know what we have been through but IV found it most helpful talking to people on here who know exactly what your going through. It's hard to explain to people that haven't experienced it. You planned a life and a future with that baby and to try and move on is the hardest thing in the world. It's totally normal to feel like that if your not ready then take some time 💕 a few weeks back I did not think I would be wanting to try again. Things will get better xx

Hey @Skl2021 :-)
Ahh I see.. well I did get pregnant straight away after one of my mc's so best of luck to you for this one!!
Yea I've had every mc investigation possible, apart from NK cells testing. I've had my womb re-shaped this year as they found a septum, I'm also on Clexane and progestrone. All of this didn't stop me mc'ing again last month ... but the consultant said this one was probability and bad luck from that 1 in 4 chance. Gutted but onwards and upwards :-) xxx

@Skl2021 thank you :-) Mmm I'm skeptic on symptoms before 4 weeks to be honest, as I've always tracked mine via period and pregnancies and they're pretty much the same!
The only differences are that I generally track feeling happy/calm/ level headed during pregnant cycles after day 24 (instead of stressed)... and paint-like white discharge (instead of thin/none).

I've got both of those symptoms now, so fingers crossed they stick around and it's good news!

Did you have any? xx

For everyone btw... as somewhat of an unfortunate veteran of this... I can't recommend therapy enough. Whatever you can get access to - counseling, life coaching, psychologist. I've had all since my first mc in 2019 and it's helped me get through this so much. Especially when I've found that unless someone has had a mc, family and friends can seem really unsupportive - because they just don't understand. xxx

@Rachae yes my symptoms are the same as period aswell 🤦 ohh yes fingers crossed it's good news! Nope no symptoms here haven't had ewcm which I usually get around ovulation so don't think I have ovulated yet. If my cycles stay on track I should be due my period next week so will see what happens xx

@Skl2021 ooo I see! So have you ttc across this cycle/ since the mc? Sorry, I might have read it wrong and assumed you haven't and are waiting for your period. So is it possible that you could be pregnant again? xx

Hi everyone, I'd like to join.

First of all I'm so sorry to hear about all of your losses. It's the worst feeling in the world isn't it. I'm 32 with no children. Started TTC in February this year and fell pregnant first cycle. Unfortunately that ended on my birthday at around 5 weeks. I then fell pregnant again with no period in between but unfortunately that one was a mmc diagnosed at 9 weeks and baby had stopped growing at 6 weeks. It took 10 weeks for my hcg to return to normal and we've been trying again since august/September.

Currently 4dpo and got the usual achy boobs which I always get immediately after ovulation. Hoping time passes quickly, hate this limbo!

@Rachae I only stopped bleeding last week so we DTD once got carried away 🤦 so yes ther could be a chance I could be pregnant but don't think I was ovulating 🤔 we haven't done it again since. Now I'm just tracking ovulation to see if I'm going to ovulate or see if af arrives. It's such a mess I don't know where I am in the cycle I could of ovulated and not picked it up on tests 🤔🙈 I was going to wait until I'd had a period xx

@Skl2021 waiting for the tests to go negative is so frustrating isn't it. Hopefully it won't be too much longer for you now. Have you been tracking with opk's?

Skl2021 · 09/11/2021 14:05

@rainbows1389 there going fainter so must be getting somewhere just not very quickly 😩 yes IV been using opks but I think there picking up the HCG as they have been quite positive for the past week. So there not very reliable to whether I'm ovulating or not 🤦 I don't even know if it's possible to ovulate while still getting positive tests 🙈 so I'm just stuck in limbo at the minute waiting for something to happen xx

Please can I join? I had a scan at 9 weeks but baby hadn't developed so had a d&c a week ago. Been told to wait 3 weeks (2 weeks to go) to take a pregnancy test and then go from there. Are people waiting for a period or just cracking on? Xxx
