Welcome to the 🐧 huddle. This a safe place to give and receive support for everyone who has experienced the loss(es) of a pregnancy or baby. Pregnancy and child loss is one of the most difficult things we can experience and it can also be the most lonely time too. So many of us have found much comfort from other lovely ladies on this thread, together we're rooting for lots of BFP's! Let 2020 end on a positive note x

Hello everyone at the start of a new thread we usually do a little post introducing our selves so here's mine

Im 39 unfortunately I have 9 angel babies. The last loss was an ectopic and I also lost my left tube in February this year. We have been ttc since with no pregnancy.

I am currently recovering from a hysteroscopy preformed to see why my periods have become very short and very light. I suspected scar tissue but I don't have any, apparently my uterus was very healthy looking. So now I'm again waiting for the RMC to deside whats next on the list. The consultant made nods towards POF today but I'll need more tests to confirm this. I have to say the hysteroscopy was very very painful and dont ever want to do it again.

Thank you @Kiki275, hope you're OK.

Hi @nchristie I'm sorry you find yourself here, but welcome ❤️

@Mumlili9 I'm sorry the hysteroscopy was painful - sounds like my hsg last year, never want to repeat that. I'm glad they didn't find anything and I hope that you aren't experiencing pof. Get some rest over the next few days, I remember after my hysteroscopy I was a bit crampy for a few days ❤️

Just a bit about me, I'm 37, I've had 4 losses - 3 MMCs and one very early loss. My last loss was October and I'm waiting for the genetic report.
I recently had some private testing and been told that my immune system is aggressive and likely to be the cause of my losses, so I've started a preconception plan with a couple of different medications and we're starting ttc again, which I'm absolutely petrified about.

@Marshmallow123 @kim80 @EatPrayYoga just in case you've not seen this new thread x

Hi ladies 👋 hope you don’t mind if I join you all . I’m 37 and incredibly blessed with 4 dc . Sadly experienced my first loss with a mmc of Twins back in April after ttc for almost 2 years and have been ttc again since June . Had a cp in August and no hint of a bfp again since . Cycles have been all over the place since the mmc anywhere between 24-32 days and currently trying opk for the 1st time this month hoping that it may help me out a little With ttc our rainbow . On cd 13 as I type . Lots of luck and baby dust to all x

Hi everyone, I'm so sorry for your losses. I hope you don't mind if I join in?

I'm Alexa, 34, I lost our little boy last Saturday at 21+4 after a severe diagnosis of spina bifida. I was due to be compassionately induced, but when I got there I was already in early labour, so he'd made his own decisions about what he wanted and was arriving on his own terms. It's so early, our hearts are so broken and obviously we're not actively TTC yet. But my entire body is screaming for a pregnancy so I thought I'd it was ok that I'd join in here?

He was a miracle in himself as I have suspected PCOS so I don't ovulate. I'm wondering if we lost him because of poor insulin control due to the PCOS. I'm looking for any reason at the moment. I have an older DS who is 4 next week.

Thanks for the new thread @Kiki275 and thanks for the tag to make sure we know @VenusStarr

Hi to everyone, so sorry to hear that new people find themselves on this thread. This is a very supportive group of lovely ladies but obviously nobody would want to be in this situation.

I’m 30. MMC at the end of September, been bleeding pretty much every day since, scan two weeks ago because of bleeding showed a small piece of tissue still in there so I’ve got to have a hysteroscopy and that is on Monday.

Hi again, I'm 36 and had my first pregnancy this year. I had a missed miscarriage at 16 weeks in early August and opted for surgery. The baby had a high nuchal translucency at the 12 week scan which pointed to the possibility of genetic or cardiac issues, but NIPT (test for Downs and other chromosomal conditions) came back negative and genetic test they did on the placenta after surgery also showed the baby was a normal a little boy. So my best guess is his heart just didn't develop properly. Partially linked to the miscarriage I left my job of 7 years and just began a new one. I'm going to start trying for a baby in my next cycle. I'm on day 36 of this cycle and still no period. My cycles range anything from 24 to 37 days which is a bit of a pain for planning.

Thank you for tagging me @Mumlili9 @VenusStarr and good to see you popping on to check on us @InDreamland and @frillyfucks (can't remember your new name!)

Sorry I keep NC snd confusing things. I have been Alice and SomeBunny and Yoga...

I am 36 and lost DD at 39+6 last year and then had an early MC / CP 6 months later.

DH and I had been trying again for over a year and I was at the point of giving up hence being a bit quiet on here but I got a BFP on 30 October.

It is early days and I am anxious. I wasn't sure when to mention this but starting the new thread with a BFP is hopefully a good start and I know in the past the BFPs have tended to come together so I hope there will be more for you all

Good luck ladies and welcome to the new people. This is a really supportive group 💗

Hi all,

Thank you for adding me @Kiki275.

@Mumlili9 I am so sorry it was painful for you hopefully resting over the weekend will help. Sending hugs x

@nchristie sorry you find yourself here but I hope you gain some support as I have since joining these lovely ladies.

@Marshmallow123 hopefully Monday will bring some answers for you please let us know how you get on.

Just a little about me I'm 40 found out I east pregnant in July after going to the gap thinking I was menopausal after the initial shock we adjusted to the idea and became very excited. I had my 12 week scan when I heard the dreaded words no heart beat I was measuring at 11 +5 so was very close, I then had to have an erpc continued to bleed after this went for another scan and was told that I had lots of tissue left which looked like it had turned to cysts so they then started with a molar pregnancy and had to go back in for 2nd erpc after this we had the dreaded wait for the test results that came back clear phew, to we have now been given the go ahead to start trying again and each month having the support from this group which really helps as sometimes I feel if you havent been through this no one really knows how it feels.

Looking forward to positive journeys with you all.

That's great news @AliceinBunnyland ❤️ I completely understand the need to protect your heart, but this is brilliant news and has given me a lift this morning. I don't know if this helps, and I can imagine the anxiety you must be feeling, but in my most recent pregnancy I really wanted to enjoy being pregnant, so each day I reminded myself I was pregnant and just took my time. I look back with happiness and I can't say that for my 2 previous pregnancies and I got a bit stuck with my grief. X

I'm relieved to finally have answers and I'm feeling hopeful that we might get our rainbow one day. Going into ttc with a plan and support is helping me. I don't expect it to work first time given our history of struggling to concieve, but I am hopeful. We have a plan to try medicated cycles and maybe even the nhs ivf cycle if nothing happens in a few months.

I'm very sorry to hear about your little boy @nchristie 💙 best wishes with your new job.

@Marshmallow123 I hope the hysteroscopy goes well on Monday and that you get done answers ❤️ I had a scan this morning and they confirmed all is clear, so I think I just had a small bit left behind and the antibiotics made it come away with my period. Let us know how you get on.

@kim80 hope you're doing OK. I know what you mean about waiting for test results - we're waiting for our genetic report from my last baby and I'm so anxious waiting for the postman. I've had a couple of letters from the hospital (they use distinctive recycled paper) and I can feel my heart racing when they arrive. I guess it's the trauma of always seemingly receiving bad news.
That's the strange thing about having our private tests and answers, I keep feeling like the hope is going to be snatched away.

I hope everyone has a lovely day ❤️ xx

@AliceinBunniland congratulations on your BFP. Fingers crossed for a healthy sticky bean. I totally understand the anxiety and being cautious at this stage, pregnancy after loss is so hard. I'm so pleased to hear your news. I've been lurking on this thread since I left it as I feel so invested still in those of you who were here supporting me in some of my darkest days. I'm just praying you all get to have your rainbows to take home soon x

@Mumlili9 hope you've been resting up, sorry it was so uncomfortable. Good news that it was looking healthy and there is no scar tissue. Hope you can get some answers soon! Not sure if relevant but after my first MC my periods also got really short and light too and it really worried me. Every medic I spoke to including the private consultant told me periods can just change length and heaviness - I did feel that I was being fobbed off as they just had no answers for me. They never went back to how they were before.

Thank you @Mumlili9 💗

@VenusStarr Thank you for your kind words. You are right. I do try to focus on the fact that right now I have no reason to think anything is wrong and in a way it helps to know that I can't really change anything I these early stages so what will be will be

I think it's really good that you have a plan and the ivf as a back up as it may help focus your mind too xx

@InDreamland Thank you. It is so lovely of you to check on on us and I hope everything is going well for you 💕

I was on the penguin thread 2018-2019 and thought I would pop on to tell @VenusStarr I was also diagnosed by Dr Shehata with high NK cells and offered a treatment plan. My husband had issues as well and was diagnosed with severe sperm DNA fragmentation. However, before the test results came back I fell pregnant and she is now a happy 8 month year old girl. I'm so hopeful for you.

@Mumlili9 thinking of you and your angels. I hope you get your much wanted rainbow. You have been through so much xx

@AliceinBunniland tentative congrats. I hope you're doing OK x

Sending lots of love to the penguin huddle. This thread helped me so much during a dark time x

Good to hear from you @Mistymeow I'm so pleased your little girl is here - I remember you posting about your first scan with her and seeing her heartbeat ❤️🥰 I'm seeing Dr S! For the first time in a long time I feel hopeful that we'll get there one day. We decided not to do the dna frag just yet, I'm convinced that the immune factors are our issue, so many other things add up. If we have another loss on the plan we will do the tests. X

Hey ladies. How are you all?

I’ve been a bit quiet as I’ve been really nervous about today but here is the Update on the hysteroscopy...polyp removed, have to take mini pill for two weeks to ensure any remaining small bits of loose tissue come away and then we should be good to start trying again. Got to say, the news about the mini pill for two weeks is what broke me...it seems so counter productive when all we want is to get pregnant again but I do understand why I’ve to take it. Today is 2 months to the day since MMC so I will be so happy to close this chapter in a couple of weeks and begin to move on.

Anyone got any advice or tips on how to make the next two weeks fly by and not drag?!

@AliceinBunniland congratulations, I hope all goes well for you this time round.

@AliceinBunniland congratulations what a lovely way to start a thread.

@mumlili9 hope you keot your feet up over the weekend and feel a little better now.

@venusstarr sorry to hear you're still waiting for results but its so good that you are now in a more positive situation.

@marshmallow123 sorry to hear your anxious about the next two weeks, I am currently in my two week wait not holding no hope but have been using Christmas as the distraction so put the trees up this weekend some wrapping🤔. Im so glad you finally have your answers and just think 2 weeks and you will be able to TTC as normal 😊 x

@AliceinBunniland I'm well thanks. DD is 9 months old now. I'll never forget how supportive you and the other ladies were to me when I was on here. Really really keeping everything crossed for this pregnancy for you.

@VenusStarr my DH had what @Mistymeow mentioned. He was treated for DNA fragmentation and very very shortly afterwards I was pregnant again which resulted in DD. We went to Dr. Jonathan Ramsay for those tests and treatment just in case you do decide to explore that avenue too.

@Mumlili9 @VenusStarr you were both so supportive during my year on the thread. Wish there was more I could say other than that I really hope this awful year ends on a high for you both. Wishing you all the best x
