Morning everyone,

Trying for a baby for a year. Normal cycle 27-30 days now day 41, negative "not pregnant" result from a clear blue digital pregnancy test this morning.
Ugh...
Test again (could it be too early) or except it's a longer cycle? Longest I've had since I've tracked in 3 years.
Cramps for a week.
I'm 36 years old if that helps lol..

Thanks in advance x

@missnessa84 hi! Do you know when you ovulated? I had a very long cycle last time, it was a full 49 days long with Ov on day 35! If you ovulated late then its possible you are in your two week wait, good lcuk to you!

I'm not entirely sure, I went with my past few months around day 12,13,14,15 but haven't tracked fully.

Hi, im new here so trying my best to not confuse but I am going through the exact same thing. My cycle is normally 35-37 so anything past that im normally pregnant, before my DC1 i used to have very irregular periods where I would miss one month and have one the next. Since then I have never missed a period, so on the 5th of October I had my merina coil taken out which I only had in for around a year so I'd have thought it wouldn't have messed my cycle up too much after having it out. Then AF showed on the 9th for 7 days and I havent had a period since, I did have mild cramping on and off for 1 day around the 11th of November and severe back ache since then for a few days and the last 2 nights with the back ache they almost felt like the pain you would have during labour. I literally have no pain now, my boobs have been tingly and they are rock hard at the top which is never a symptom i have before AF only when pregnant. I am feeling more tired and having naps during the day which I never usually do, going for a wee more often and my CM has only just started to increase, im now on day 41 I think and have had 3 negative tests, I really need help or im going to have some mental break down sad

No need to be sorry,
It's all so frustrating. I'm going to test again in a few days. I've had 3 negatives and also the backache that I don't get with PMS. I'm thinking maybe I didn't ovulate at all. It's so annoying not knowing. Keep me posted.

I might also test in a few days, although I was so close to just giving up and deciding to test on the 28th if I still didn't come on by then, but seeing your post has made me realise im not the only one here with a late cycle, it says I am 6 days late so I would have thought I'd have that positive by now. Have you had any other symptoms? I agree, it hard waiting for something when you're not sure what it is.

missnessa84 Fri 20-Nov-20 17:26:09

I've had cramps, backache, a very tired, bit dizzy sometimes. Sometimes I wonder because we want this so much, I wind myself up and make the period late, but the latest I've been in 3 years of tracking correctly is 36 days. I'm 41... I'd have thought a test would show by now too. I've heard stories of women only getting a positive at week 6-8 but maybe that's an expectation and I'm clinging to hope.

Also the feeling like UTI but milder for at least two weeks.

Bassically the same as me then, it could be that but I still cannot explain the day of cramping that I had maybe ovulation... I'm glad im not alone. Its been driving me crazy for a while now, even my mum has had her period and finished while I'm here still waiting, ive also heard about people not finding out until 12 weeks but I cant imagine waiting that long unless maybe that is a possibility, like you this has never happened to me before other than when I was 17 years old, only time will tell. Maybe we ested too early, let's cling onto that hope at least smile

Sunnybeam Fri 20-Nov-20 17:39:16

Thats a sign! I thought I had a kidney infection with how painful my back was but I had my urine tested at the doctors which turned out not to be, they didn't test it for pregnancy though which I was hoping they would, maybe I should change the pregnancy test im using (which aren't the ones I usually use).

missnessa84 Fri 20-Nov-20 18:32:40

I've done £8 clear blue and £1 for 3 Savers.. all negative.

Let's see what happens. Keep me posted it was nice to find other people with the same problems.

I've heard the boots ones are really good for detecting early, they're just expensive to buy online.

I will definitely keep you posted and yes it is reassuring.

missnessa84 Fri 20-Nov-20 18:51:59

Boots early detection?

OP’s posts: |
Sunnybeam Fri 20-Nov-20 19:38:40

Yes! They're the one, or the frer but I usually use the ones from savers, which has never let me down, even detected a chemical pregnancy for me once!

missnessa84 Fri 20-Nov-20 20:20:18

Yes there's no pattern or best test is there really.. ugh

Nothing is 100% accurate, I guess it all depends on the pregnancy.

Hoping we will find out soon, kind of wishing the days away so I can find out sooner but its not really wise.

I guess we can just enjoy no period for an extra bit of time if no show of AF and bpf.

Sunnybeam Fri 20-Nov-20 20:54:45

I mean bfp

missnessa84 Fri 20-Nov-20 21:29:41

Ha yes. The days are going so slowly. Let me know what happens x

Day 42 Cramps and uti feeling continues today. No AF, negative test this morning.
Definitely waiting a few days more at least.

Have you been to your gp to check if you have a uti?

My app says I'm on day 44 but I counted day 43, have no cramping at all still, boobs still hard at the top, slightly sensitive, no apetite, feeling tiredness still, going to wait a bit longer to test as it drives me more crazy seeing the negative but feeling pregnant.

missnessa84 Sat 21-Nov-20 14:13:26

No, I was going to but then the feeling eased off. Will see next week if it's not better.
I feel pregnant too so odd.

How long had the cramps been going on for?

I remember with my first dd1 I had cramps for over 2 weeks, they were agonising though like my period when I was younger so I just assumed I was coming on any day but I never did. Although I have experienced that every pregnancy is different, my second ds1 I noticed implantation bleeding, I never thought it was real until it happened to me. I only bled slightly for maybe 3 hours and then it stopped and thats when I realised I wasn't due on yet so a few days later I took the test which was bfp both those times the first test was positive. Then on my next ds2 the only thing I noticed was when I was in the shower and I reached out for a bottle of shampoo that a slight bit of my breast was hurting only in one spot, by then I had a missed AF and thats when I knew for sure I was pg and again first test was a bfp so this is why I'm so confused myself even though I feel pg.

missnessa84 Sat 21-Nov-20 16:54:07

Same..
Cramps on and off since my normal time to expect AF about 14 days ago, feels like AF will start any min. Had the same with my dd1 cramps till about 12 weeks. Nothing really painful just like a slight period cramp.
But that was 18 years ago maybe my memory isn't so good. Lol
