Any ovulation/opk/chart experts?

So, i use OvuSense (wearable core body temp monitor) overnight to track and record my temps.

Looking at my ff chart (I input the temps OvuSense gives me as well as using their own app), ovulation hasn’t yet been detected. But over the last few days I had lots of ewcm so thought it was coming. Did an opk last night and it was positive. Negative this morning.

I’m currently cd18 which is around when I used to ovulate before I took soy isoflavones (they brought it forward to around cd14-16), but this cycle I didn’t take any soy, thought I’d try a natural cycle. So ovulating today would fit with previous timings.

But my temps are throwing me. Wouldn’t I have expected a ride today if I was due to ovulate today?

New to temping and reading charts etc as I only started using OvuSense last cycle and had never taken bbt before that.

Have attached pics of my chart, the positive opk from last night, and the negative one from today.

Any opinions? I just look at it and see nothing 🤷🏼‍♀️

Will keep trying to attach!

Your temp won’t rise until after ovulation usually one or two days after. The ovusense usually confirms it detects ovulation once it sees afew repeated temps higher than your cover line. So sounds like you’re in peak fertility right now so get busy :)

Thank you @Tinkertailor88. OvuSense confirmed ovulation last cycle but I only started using it on cd14 last time so there wasn’t much info for it to go on.

We’ve dtd for the last 5 nights and will again today and tomorrow at least so hopefully we’ll be covered.

I'd say your now in your fertile window but the egg hasn't quite come out yet so no actual temp rise just yet, remember a positive opk test only means you are likely to ovulate in the next 12-48 hours so even a positive test only gives you a window of time and just remember sone lh surges will be false and your body won't ovulate and you'll have a second stab at it later on your cycle, quite common if your ill/stressed/tired etc but the test you got makes me think you'll ovulate in the next few day's xx

@Moominmiss hey lovely, sometimes my temp takes a day or two to rise after ovulation.... it normally dips down the day before or day of them starts to rise xx

Thanks both! Yeah I used to find that I’d usually ovulate the day after my peak opk. But I’m totally new to temping and reading charts and I’d thought I should see a rise on the day of ovulation which is why it threw me a bit.
Hopefully then, if I do ovulate today, I might see a rise in the morning!
Fingers crossed anyway!

Also just realised I thought we’d dtd just for the last 5 days, but I’ve not put it in for 2 of the days so actually makes it 8 days in a row 🙈 my poor oh 😂
At least we should be covered lol

After having the positive opk on 28th, is this the sort of rise in looking for to hopefully confirm ovulation happened 29th? I know I need it to stay up but a rise now would fit wouldn’t it?

Any ovulation/opk/chart experts?

@Moominmiss Yes, if that rise is sustained, it will confirm ovulation. Looks promising!

Thank you! Will be keeping my fingers crossed. This morning I’ve had pulling pains and a dull achy feeling where my right ovary would be. Could ovulation be happening now, today? It is it more likely to be after pains from ovulation? Or just unrelated completely?

From your chart, it looks like ovulation happened on the 29th. I get slight twinges the days around ovulation, sometimes before, sometimes shortly after! Happy 2WW! 😄 🧚🏼‍♀️
