Thanks @Newbie0818. How are you doing? Are you going to try anything new this cycle?

Hello again ladies :) if anyone can help @lucyrp out with her chart, she posted it in the old thread.

@Suki2020 hi lovely. I'm ok thanks, just mid af. It's been a really painful one so I'll be glad when it's over! I don't think I'm going to do anything new tbh, I've given up with all that and just want to see where the doctors take me now. Although Lucy above mentioned Seven Seas on the other thread were both on so I might do a bit of research into that with pcos.
How are you doing? Where are you in your cycle now?

Hi,
I'm new here! Have really irregular cycles mostly around 40-50 days but up to 140 days...last cycle was 119. Been tracking ovulation without any evidence of it. Have been put on thyroxine and merformin recently to try and help regulate them but also had a scan this week and the nurse could see a collapsed follicle indicating ovulation. Trying not to get my hopes up in case there was no egg released...having a blood test on Monday to check progesterone levels. Sorry for spilling my guts but I don't know who to talk to about a this!

Welcome @magpie6 bless you it sounds like it's all been stressful. This is a great place to chat and get support. I hope you did ovulate and let's hope those progesterone levels are up 🤞🏼
How long have you been ttc? Do you have any sort of diagnosis? (I have pcos, hence my irregular cycles)

Thanks @Newbie0818, yes it has been stressful. We have been actively trying for 20 months although haven't used contraception for years! I don't have a diagnosis, so far they haven't identified a cause for the irregular cycles although I am seeing an acupuncturist who identified the thyroid issue and she said it could well be the reason behind them. I've only been on the thyroxine a week but already feel it has helped me feel less tired all the time so who knows!!
Yes I'm keeping everything crossed for the progesterone test because at the very least it would show it's all working!!
How long have you been ttc? At least with a diagnosis you know what you're dealing with, are they trying anything to help regulate your cycles?

@magpie6 that's good that you've got some treatments in place, hopefully it'll help!
We've been trying for 13 months, so still not as long as some but we're just at the beginning of fertility investigations so treatment will probably be a way off. I feel quite lucky that my cycles aren't too long, usually around 35-60 days, and I've been taking inositol which possibly helps.

@Newbie0818 aww bless ya, it’s horrible when they are painful. I’m CD17 now so just waiting for ovulation. Trying not to stress over our test results as I know stress can delay ovulation. Just hoping this cycle is no where near as long as the last cycle.
Welcome @magpie6 Hope your blood test goes ok for you.

@Newbie0818 good luck, keeping everything crossed for you. Do you have to go to the hospital for that?

@Suki2020 thanks :) I'm surprised as he gets the results tomorrow, so quick.
He just did it at home and we dropped it off at the hospital. I think he felt awkward 😂

Hi everyone 👋🏼 I hope you don’t mind that I’ve stumbled upon this thread, I was just hoping to find some people in a similar situation to me. I’ve had irregular periods for the last six months (it might have been longer but I’ve only been tracking them for this long). I had some bloods and swabs taken at the doctors two weeks ago, swabs came back normal but my bloods were borderline for a hormone called prolactin so I’ve got to re test in 2 weeks. I’m currently on CD9 but my last cycle was 77 days so I’ve got no idea when/if I’m ovulating. It’s such a stressful time but I’m glad there’s a community of people who can help each other through it 😊

Hey @Leo5742
I actually have issues with prolactin too. It’s true it causes issues with fertility but it is very easily managed in my case and I’m currently pregnant so don’t worry too much about it! Feel free to message me if you want anymore details on it :)

@Leo5742 welcome :) my mum has the prolactin issue and has conceived fine, I hope that helps to reassure you although I know how frustrating it is to not know where you're body is at!
Have you tried temping? It doesn't really help you predict ovulation, but it helps me know when to expect af and to let me know if I have ovulated. I'd recommend it, and note down your symptoms each day as you might notice some special ov related ones. Worth a try if you haven't already x

@justlonelystars how are you getting on? How far along are you?

@Pol96 I was thinking about you this morning, how are you and your little boy (eek!) getting on?

Hi @Newbie0818, thanks for thinking about me, and adding me to the new thread 😊
We had our 4d scan at the weekend, I can post a pic if everyone is okay with it?
All looking good, third trimester (28weeks)on Thursday, next appointment is next tuesday, they're every 2 weeks now! He could possibly be here in just over 9 weeks if he comes at 37 weeks!
Hope you're okay? And all you other ladies!?
Baby dust to you all! Xx

Hi everyone,

Hope it's ok to join.

I had the Mirena Coil, removed beginning of July and been tracking my cycle since then, so far got a 41 day cycle, a 38 day cycle and currently on track for a 42 day cycle this time. I think my cycles were regular before Mirena although I can't fully remember as I had it for 16 months and was pregnant before that and on the pill before that.

Have any of you ladies had the Mirena and experienced this? I did see on another thread someone mentioned Soy Isoflavones so I'm thinking of trying those next cycle, if needed.

I have a whole new admiration for the patience of you long cycle ladies haha!

Hi everyone. Hope you don't mind me joining! First off, big congrats to @newbie0818 and @pol96!

I always had very irregular periods up until I went on hormonal contraception age 18 (now 30), I got the implant out at end of August and had hoped my cycle had learned how to behave itself after a 12 year break!

I got one withdrawal bleed, and today (54 days later) got my first proper AF. I am quite happy with that as had a strong feeling I ovulated 2 weeks ago and an OPK at the time was almost, but not quite, positive. Not sure if this even counts as a cycle since post implant bleed was a withdrawal, but will be interesting to see when next AF is. Does anyone else have experience of long cycles post implant? I feel this may just be my baseline normal but at least am ovulating!
